Instead of locking certain threads....

I neither fear, nor despise.
Take Korra's Farewell thread for example.
It was fine, until Decimator and CIS Scum kept arguing back and forth, which got the thread locked.

Could we instead, just have those comments removed so the thread isn't locked?
If there is A TON, lock it. But if it is just 2 users going back and forth for about half a page, why lock a thread people want to post in.............over 2 arguing?

Just a thought.

Not a bad idea and if the big guy agrees then I guess it's a go..

This is an awesome idea.

I do think getting rid of posts that could potentially reveal/implicate if a user broke rules as a bad idea.
But it also unclogs certain topics of pure shit, so that's a good thing.

Admins can recover deleted posts (feature was recently added a week or so ago), so they're never truly gone unless Isara or I remove them permanently.

That's reassuring.

If a moderator goes through removing those, he'll probably actually read them.
In doing so, those offences would be noticed.......I would hope.

Well, what I was trying to say would be that material evidence is better than "I saw it in that thread but now it's gone".
Of course, with Cheat's comment, this is all redundant talk.
