I messed up my username, I wanted it to say "A Fox" not "MrPip42"

How do I fix it?

Go into account settings in your profile and you should be able to edit your display name.

It looks like a legit account, but then again it's always possible someone is using one of those handy dandy VPNs. It's not possible to tell, unfortunately.

I've been told by Psy that he had some way to check if a person is using VPNs or not.
Most of the mods have said they screen out any account found using a VPN.
Although maybe that only works in a certain way.

Yup. Usually the IP resolves into a website or the host name is very strange looking. This one appears legit as far as I can tell, and resolves into a known ISP.
