RC speaking words of wisdom there. We need to keep growing at a steady pace so that we don't eventually die out and things stay interesting, but the place just wouldn't be the same with potentially heaps of new users joining. The sense of belonging to a community is what makes us stand out from the impersonal forums sporting hundreds of users where most don't even know each other.
Before we begin any of these big projects to expand our site, I feel we need to make sure we have everything in order with who's here - including the current staffing debate and other problems that still are open.Don't want to build an expansion when the foundation is cracking.
I agree. Also if we are going to expand we should probably increase staff as the user count gets higher. More users means more people to look after.

I'm quite content with a closer-knit community, and I doubt that anyone here wants the clusterfrack of chaos, anonymity, and general pointlessness that larger communities have. B.old flood was great because it was just large enough to be entertaining while still retaining a sense of belonging. We need to keep this in mind as we move forward.

It maybe had an average of 100 members on at a time (I'm talking just the flood, not the entire website), so I can easily see us getting to that level.Well that's my personal goal is to have 100-200 active members. Meaning having 100-200 people online at all times of the day.

Go on a recruiting spree! Go to your college class and find some trusted fellows who know their way around a computer. I could make that video/be the youtube guy. I would then send the videos to a more capable member to edit it and make it more pretty. LHm..Let's get an AD in gameinformer. I'd be willing to chip in to the cost.I think we have a YouTube channel that someone made, but we need someone that can edit video, yeah.I mean...I have a degree in graphic design, so I could do it, but I'd rather pull teeth than deal with video editing software (also not a fan of flash for this reason).T-shirts were also a thing I was turning around in my mind, and that is something that would be awesome if we ever decide to go out into the real world to an event of some kind (or just wear it to Walmart or something; whatever). Why not a Machinima on Halo? I'm very good friends with the owner of Machinima Union and we could either get him to help or even help with the Halo Archive's Machinima stuff once the scripting finishes. Also, should we make a new thread for this?

Like Death said, I think we should split off from Bnet and the stupidity of DeeG and just become an independent gaming site instead of being a safe haven from the Bungie.net trainwreck.
