What the hell is up with avatar links?

I copy and paste my avatar into the profile bar thing, like you normally would

and it keeps giving me the default avatar

and also

the upload option automatically makes the image super low res

as you can see clearly

SO it appears that the problem is with imgur, not Sep7agon

however, whenever you try to use the upload avatar option, it uses a super low-res image for some reason

any fix?
