Slightly, it the weight of the bold could stand to show more, but thats how it is by default.

its not impossible to see, its just harder. if i didnt know it was bolded i wouldnt be able to tell at first glance.

You're not alone. I feel the same. Bolding things doesn't have much effect for me, which is why I usually underline.

Same, I typically bold and underline because bold alone doesn't seem to stand out nearly enough.
