Some boards let you upload a file directly and attach it to your post, as opposed to linking to an offsite like imgur.

I don't know Sep7's deal about attachments, so Cheat will have to explain the specifics >.>

It's one of SMF's features that we don't use. We don't really need it since most people upload their images elsewhere, and then others use dropbox, google drive and other sites to upload their files.
