Any specific reason we're not allowed certain types of BBCode in sigs?

Was gonna add a gamer card to my sig, but get an error message saying its not allowed:

Aren't we allowed images though? Just screenshot it, it's not the same, but it's quick workaround for the moment.

It'd increase the page load time and, IMO, it doesn't look very nice.
