WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO THATBecause it looks better with a space on desktop (as long as you can see the background to the sides). Also, because I'm the boss.
I wouldn't call the gap between the banner and the header an issue. I do however think that the gap was too big, and caused an aesthetically displeasing experience. Since people provided feedback that they hated the gap, I felt that running without a gap at all would be better.Instead, that's not the case. The true issue lies with the background, and initial distance between the header, and body. So, besides Cheat's "plans for the future" (Basically him saying what he's going to do in case I don't do it, despite agreeing with him) it makes more sense that the gap exists on the desktop, and not on mobile. Where the latter needs to save as much screen space as possible.
On the test forum it does look a touch too wide. I'd say put it back in at 75% the original. It's not a forum breaking problem, but having the banner ramming into the top nav is an eyesore while there is free space along the sides of the forum container (on desktop). It makes perfect design sense to remove the space on mobile, where the sides reach the edge of the device, though.
Essentially what I am saying in that post, Cheat.Quote from: Cheat on February 06, 2015, 12:47:12 AMOn the test forum it does look a touch too wide. I'd say put it back in at 75% the original. That's what I'm sayingto you.
But we are saying the same thing.Quote from: Cheat on February 06, 2015, 12:49:40 AMThat's what I'm sayingto you.
Then we mustbe in agreement.
OK.Quote from: Cheat on February 06, 2015, 12:50:55 AMThen we mustbe in agreement.
