Remember Jack Thompson? Maybe Trump can make him communications director now that he's on the anti-violent video game train.

I hadn't checked the site for a few days. When I did, I couldn't post and had to read around to get caught up. I didn't leave with a bang, so much as a confused "WTF?"

So I've got my hands on some M-80 firecrackers (the real ones, not the ones that are just regular firecrackers in big tubes). Yes, I still have all my fingers.

So what should I blow up next?

Is anyone surprised by this? Did anyone really not see this coming?

No one's mind is changed by this. She wasn't prosecuted, so people who like Clinton can say "Well, if she didn't do anything, why wasn't she charged?" And people who don't like her will say "But the FBI said that Clinton didn't act wisely and possibly put important information!" And politics will continue to be a load of horseshit and no one gets anything done.

I've always found the idea of neonaticide morbidly fascinating.

It's kind of hard for me to treat neonaticide the same as murder, though.

Anti-science horseshit combined with government overregulation. It's a winning combination.

Isn't that illegal?

Further updates indicate that the wife of the shooter knew of his plans at the nightclub, did not alert the authorities.

It depends on whether the husband threatened her or not. You can't usually convict someone of a crime that they were forced at gunpoint to do.

I don't get the people who support Trump because Hillary is "dishonest" or "crooked". It's like, you think one politician is crooked so your solution is to support someone who flip-flops at every turn, has a track record of not paying contractors, and games the system in his favor at every opportunity? Seriously? Donald Trump is your answer to a 'crooked' politician? How is a crooked businessman somehow better?

Serious / Re: What do you guys honestly believe happened on 9/11?
« on: June 09, 2016, 04:41:24 PM »
Well so far I really am the ONLY person on this entire website that believes 9/11 was an inside job by the US government, and I will continue to believe that unless some new evidence pops up that can dismiss the conspiracy, and seeing how unlikely that's going to be, I'll believe that until the day I die.

At least I know I'm not the only person on the internet, let alone the world that believes it was an inside job as well.

Just on this site.

If you honestly believe that the government had any role in executing the attacks of 9/11, then there's no evidence that will convince you otherwise. Not "new" evidence, not any of the extremely clear old evidence. You can (and in this case, do) have all the evidence in the world painting a clear picture (in this case, that Islamic extremists hijacked and crashed the planes), but all the evidence in the world can't overcome the mixture of stubbornness and stupidity that fuels conspiracy theories.

I only have one question on my mind. If the government didn't do it at all, and everything they said was true, why did they take all the evidence from ground zero and destroy it? They wouldn't even allow any law enforcement to investigate the crime scene.

You mean why did the government move the gigantic pile of rubble out of the middle of New York City? Because it was a giant pile of rubble in the middle of New York City. Also, the NYPD did help with the investigation into 9/11.

Like I said, conspiracy theories = stubbornness +stupidity.

Can we say that it was a tragedy, with both many people and no people at fault?

It's really easy for keyboard warriors to tell us all about how they've never let their children out of their sight, and how they would have done everything perfectly. I think anyone with half a brain can see through their bullshit, though.

Saying that the mom is "negligent" or that she should be charged with a crime for this is just idiotic. If you have kids, they will, at some point, get away from you. It might be for a minute, it might be for longer, but it will happen. Most of the time, there's a second of panic and then everything's all right.

Tragedy happens, people. Sometimes it's best to understand that and move on.

I think Hillary will crush Trump.

Trump is a one-trick pony. It worked out well for him in the primaries, but for a general election? I don't think so. I think enough people will realize how utterly full of shit Trump is so that he won't actually win the election. Name calling and conspiracy theories can only get you so far.

You know that feeling you get when you're driving down the road minding your own business, and then out of nowhere you see a naked guy walking into the street, and then you have to make a surprised and confused call to 911? Shit like this makes me wish I had a dash cam.

If I ever have kids, I'm going to do what my parents did and teach them a degree of independence.

If my kid is old enough to use the bathroom by themselves, I'm going to let them. I'll be right outside the door. They'll be just fine.

But what if someone mistakes the gun bulge for a shlong under her pants and kicks her out of the bathroom?

A New Yorker article on Mormon Transhumanism

Key take aways: Certain sects of Mormons believe that humans could and should achieve immortality through technology. That what God can't or won't do, man should do for himself.

For devout religious people, this is surprisingly forward thinking

That's great, but please stop ringing my doorbell and get the fuck off my porch. I'm doing something right now and I don't want to talk about Jesus.

I was a freshman in high school, and I brought a remote control fart noise maker into the classroom. I hid it in the back of the room and set it off during class. The teacher got so mad she stopped teaching for the day. I did it twice, and then some asshole girl found it and gave it to the teacher.

Serious / Re: North Carolina Bathroom Bill
« on: April 20, 2016, 11:26:15 PM »
Harassing people in bathrooms is already illegal. If someone is harassing you in the bathroom, call the police. If not, they're just trying to pee.

Giving paranoid shitstains more authority to badger trans people is not helping anything. If 'people pretending to be transgender to get into bathrooms' is a problem for you, my suggestion is to bring your own personal bathroom along with you, like a pop-up tent with a bucket in it or something.
