I know someone who only just beat it this past summer. Apparently this isn't uncommon.

This is definitely going to be like Halo2. I suspect that during the time John is just walking through endless wastelands, doing next to nothing else, we'll be playing as Locke.

This game looks too good. Also, I think the official statement was 55%, but that's not a huge deal. Also, here's a 1080p version
Glad to see ya saw the light and joined offsite. Told ya that thread was going to get moved :P
Yeah, I don't think I'll use B.net for a little while.

Destiny has a lot of potential in the long run. I'm just annoyed about how much the cut out and are probably selling back to us. I bet that was ActiVision's doing.

Ignore. Damn, I did it again.
I am watching this unfold live. Funniest thing I've seen today. ;)
I kept clicking reply instead of quote. Does reply notify the person, or do you just have to check back either way?

Buying a gaming laptop soon

It might be cheaper and more powerful to build your own PC instead.

Eh, I was going to build a PC but ended up buying a laptop instead. Cost a bit of extra money but I the whole building part worried me so I'm fine with the higher cost.
There are definitely pros to buying prebuilt laptops and such, especially the warranty over the whole thing.

My rig is GTX 780, i5-4670K (3.40GHz), and 8GB of RAM. How long do you think I can run ultra or very high settings for?
I'd give it like 2-4 years and then you might just want to buy another 780 for SLI and maybe 8 more GB of RAM.

But a pretty damn solid rig you got there.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's my first build, so I decided to go big or go home. I'm thinking of getting another 780 when needed. That should set me for a while. The Witcher 3 looks like it's going to be extremely demanding for ultra and to have a good framerate, but we'll see. Same for 8 more GB of RAM.

Serious / Re: Should women in the US have to sign up for the draft?
« on: September 25, 2014, 01:21:53 PM »
If there's a draft, sex/gender and the rest shouldn't be discriminated against. If someone is physically able, they should be eligible for a drafting. I'm not saying I do or don't support a draft, but that's my stance on this particular issue.
