The Flood / Re: Is Islam a violent religion?
« on: November 14, 2015, 09:36:46 PM »
All the Abrahamic religions have some voilent elements to it. And to be fair, when you look back on history, Christians and Jews did some pretty henious stuff that's just as bad as modern islamic terrorism.
Islam as a religion does have violence within the text, but so does other religions and idoelogies. It really just comes down to how people choose to live (or die) by their faith.

It IS a necessity in today's job market.
It really, really isn't. The wage premium on a college education indicates that, yes, if you can you should go for it. But why does that justify the appropriation of income from the whole population to pay for the concentrated benefits individuals will enjoy?

The positive externalities of higher education are incredibly low; taking money from people to pay for my higher education is immoral.
This logic can basically be applied to anything resembling socialism.
Not really. . .

The positive externalities of basic science research are incredibly high, which justifies government funding. It's a practical question, not an ideological one.
Uh, when did we go from college tuition to funding scientific research? If we're talking practicality, then we should address the current system is flawed and should be addressed with some kind of support for students. Aside from loans of course.

They're not going to accomplish much. Until enough people stop going to college to the point where their profit drops, tuition will still be high.
Plus I don't think college should be free, but it definitely should be a lot cheaper. Student debt is a real big problem and it's obvious the system is a little fucked up. I have scholarships and still took out a loan for some semesters so I'll have that lingering over my head. Thank god I'm in stem so I can pay that shit back asap.
being in STEM doesnt guarantee a job dude, take it from an aerospace major. Experience, and drive gets jobs, not degrees
You act like I'm not getting internships and joining engineering societies. If you can't get a job with an aerospace degree then you did something wrong. Also degrees get jobs, hence why people spend thousands on college educations. I'd be much better off with a degree than without.

I don't see why anyone would even want Internet acceptance on their priority list, especially here. Just follow the same social standards as you would irl.

This is actually one of my newer designs, I haven't made one in a while but my coworker wanted to rip flows. Anyway it's pretty standard but I like the voss bottles. Made combining them easy so I can make an ice catch. Only took 30 mins.

Damn fam you got some mass on you at 200+. We got similar body types, I think. Shit I don't know for sure.
Anyway yeah I'd bulk until the dawn of spring if I were you. I'm doing strength training till the end of the year then hyper trophy in the rest of winter. Your gains won't be showing anyway since it'll be covered in a jacket. I feel like winter is going to be a bitch this year.

The Flood / Re: Is this the perfect female body?
« on: November 09, 2015, 05:03:19 PM »
Actually yes. Good tone but not overbearingly shredded, nice height, good waist, medium boobs, ass isn't too flat or ridiculously protruded. All in all 9/10.

I've meet both good and bad cops. I remember speeding once and the cop letting me go with a warning because my record was clean. And another that arrested my roommate who was really nice. And the other one who broke into my car when I locked my keys inside was cool, we talked about Iraq.
The bad ones though were basically just rude and very aggressive. Like they were ready to bust heads.

Seems like they either take the form of Jesus or Hitler.

Serious / Re: The electoral college. Why?
« on: November 08, 2015, 10:56:52 PM »
The majority isn't always right.
You seem to be the only one who sort of got where I was going with this. I get why the EC exist and what it's purpose is, but the fact is that in certain states voting for a certain party is completely useless. Among other things.

Serious / The electoral college. Why?
« on: November 08, 2015, 09:41:57 PM »
I've been thinking recently as to why we have the electoral college and how it essentially hinders true democracy. Like I live in the south and almost always my state will be majority red due to the demographic. Now if a democrat votes, doesn't it make it essentially useless just based on a statistic perspective.
I think the best example I can give is California. They haven't voted red since 88, and due to their population, that's an automatic 55 votes for the democrats. And studies have shown that the bipartisan system has been getting increasingly polarized[1].
So I wonder, is the electoral college pretty much hindering democracy at this point since the win really just relies on swing states?

Anyone who is different gets targeted.
It's a thing called "discrimination", you might've heard of it, it's been around for a while.
That's like someone asking how a car works and you answer "it moves forward". Basically your answer is useless and basic.

The Flood / Why are autistic people made fun of so much?
« on: November 07, 2015, 01:51:15 PM »
It's not like they can help having autism, and being mean and hostile to people with autism doesn't significantly more harm than it does to neurotypical people. Remember, the person who faunded modern physics (well einstein replaced his theories but they still work) was autistic.

I read this on a billboard while on the freeway. Buy a diamond ring for your gal and they throw in a free shotgun. If I was looking to marry I might take them up on that deal. The south is great mane.

No, because my selection is broad enough to delve deep into the crevices.
That sounds like your selection is so bad that you aren't transfixed by new discoveries. If it even makes sense at all.

Googled it. Pretty sure every anime I've ever watched had a character like this. Vegeta is the best example.
Not really

He's just super prideful. If you want an example of it, it's Taiga from Toradora, or Rin from Fate/Stay Night.

Thankfully, she's more than just "b-b-b-baka".
But Vegeta used to be evil. He came to earth to kill Goku but now they're bros.
Also I haven't heard of those animes.
