To be fair after you got your hand lobbed off you might reconsider stealing things. You've only got one chance after that. You either become damn good at stealing and not getting caught or you quit.

I had a hard-on for the Indoctrination Theory, even though it didn't really fix many of the criticisms of ME's conclusion (lack of meaning in your decisions, etc.), it made the ending a lot more believable and therefor emotional to me. Then they really threw the wrench at Indoc with the extended cut so I basically lost all interest all together.
