The Flood / AMA I've got the Blues...

YouTube

I've been feeling down lately, but fuck that. I just aspire to be happy.
Life is hard, and I sometimes forget to remind myself to appreciate the smaller things in life.
Those are the moments that truly matter, because you usually learn from them.

It's just sometimes hard to remember that this pain is only temporary.
That pain does eventually subside;
However, the hard situations handed to us only make us stronger.
We are strong minds in weak hearted bodies.
This is who we are.

So we must ask ourselves: "What's our next move to becoming the strongest?"
We must train.
We must live our life.

The Flood / The States: Pokemon Edition
« on: October 08, 2015, 03:48:13 PM »
So a friend sent me the link to this article that chose a Pokemon for each state.

My State - Georgia: Magmar

"Georgia is The Peach State and Magmar's forehead resembles a peach.
A round, juicy peach. "
...seriously? I thought it looked more like a nutsac or a butt

Honorable Mentions:

New York: Trubish

" Don't be fooled when you visit New York City. Those aren't pokemon, they're literal bags of garbage strewn about on every corner."
I see what you did there. We get it NYC is dirty.

Tennessee: Jiggly Puff

"The city of Nashville is the prime destination for baby-faced singers with massive egos."
Jiggly Puff will sing you to sleep just like most of the talent that comes out of there.

District of Columbia: Missingno

"WAIT, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!?  WHAT ARE YOU!!!???"
#Illuminati

So how do you feel about your state Pokemon?

We should make our own list!

The Flood / Rude Customers
« on: September 30, 2015, 12:07:50 AM »
I don't understand why they have to be so damn rude. Like yeah sure it's my job to get your order correct and to your special standards, but I do not get paid enough to deal with your bullshit. If you decided to hand me a $20 bill after you decided to scream racists slurs at me, my coworkers, and other customers I would still say it's not enough. Just because you're black doesn't mean you are exempt from being considered racist which you were so clearly being. I am so happy you are banned from our store, and I will be happy to call the police if you decided to ever show back up at our door. End rant.

No but seriously guys rude customers suck to deal with. What are some good examples of bad customers that you have experienced?

The Flood / Dietary Conflicts
« on: September 27, 2015, 06:57:03 PM »
So if you didn't know already I'm Pescetarian which means the only meat I will eat is fish. Well about 3 weeks ago my fiancé lost his job (he got one earlier this week), so we've been hurting big time financially, and haven't really had money for food. My conflict is a coworker of mine and his wife surprised us with a crock pot and multiple home prepared meals thoughtfully and lovingly made, however; it's all chicken.

I know I should just shut up and eat it and be grateful (which is what I plan on doing since we have nothing else), but I'm curious what you guys would do if you were in my shoes?

The Flood / Pumpkin Spice Hell Begins...
« on: September 20, 2015, 12:44:06 AM »

I can't stand when it when the pumpkin sauce splashes onto my arms. Nothing worse than being in a rush not wanting to break drink sequence, so you let it run down your arm. ::squirms:: I hate pumpkin spice it's too sticky, and when it launches people begin to act super entitled to the most ridiculous things. Seriously I LOVE the holiday season... It's the time of year I get shit on by Scrooges that want to get me fired if I don't obey and command.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte launch should be a warning to all of us retail workers that the Holiday Hell Season is upon us. Comrades be strong in not slaughtering the innocent, and to do our best not to rage quit our jobs during the largest swarm of them. Why do they always get meaner when we're slammed??

/End rant...

Septagon / Technical Difficulties: "Like Button"
« on: September 18, 2015, 05:44:14 PM »

Okay, so I've been experiencing a lot of glitches with the like button on mobile, laptop, and desktop, so I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this:

Mobile:
- clicking to view who liked something, and then the popup name menu refuses to go away.
- Clicking "Like" doesn't process or work.

Computers:
- Like Button will not respond or like post.
- Lags and you accidentally unlike it as soon as you like it.

I don't own Pleb interwebs, and you know this, so please don't just put it off to weak sauce internet.

The Flood / Birthday Time!
« on: September 09, 2015, 02:56:14 PM »
A lot of you know I fucked up my skype profile and put "September 6th" instead of today (September 9th) as my birthday. My bad... Whoopsies, but a huge thanks to everyone for the early happy birthday wishes!!!

Well today is my 24th birthday. It feels weird tbh. I remember when I was a kid I was convinced I would die at the age of 19, so I never imagined what it would be like to be in my mid-20's. I have to say I am pretty happy with what I did in my early 20's. I partied, made amazing friends, had multiple stage lighting internships, fell in love, started going to college, and even got my own place. It feels weird to be an adult, but I would have to say I'm doing pretty well, and I am excited to see what becomes of the rest of my life.

Enough of my blogging!
I have questions for you!

1.) When you were a kid: what was the oldest you could/would imagine yourself as being?

2.)What was the weirdest thing you thought of yourself doing, being, or achieving as you got older?

3.) If you have reached this age: what is similar/dissimilar for your current life from what you imagined as a kid?

Thanks again! Today has been amazing!

The Flood / I survived DragonCon AMA
« on: September 08, 2015, 11:47:09 AM »
For those of you not familiar with DagonCon it is the largest Fantasy convention in the south-east. It's basically like an early Halloween for adults, an over 70,000 attended. There are costume contests, panels, and TONS of parties and drinking.

Here are some of the pictures I took.

Lots of pictures!!!

Me and my fiancé as Harley Quinn and the Joker

Snake: I saw him and thought of you guys

A furry for Elegiac and friends

We all know The Joker and Deadpool don't get along

I found a Shy Guy

Pixel art made with stickies the guy said it took 5 hours and to "make it famous" (he was drunk off his ass when I met him)

The Scarecrow: he had awesome syringe hands

Jack and Sally: cutest daughter daddy costume imo

More Jacks and Sally

Even the Goblin King decided to show up (with an enlarged package)

Pepe thought it was cute to flash the camera: rarest pepe of them all!

I saw Fluttershy from across the room and ran to her to get her picture (you're welcome Flee)

And who knew storm troopers where Bronies too?

I met Jafar while walking to the Hero's and Villain's ball

I had so much fun at DragonCon!!!

I went to a few panels including:

- Anime Voice Actors: Melissa Fahn, Josh Grelle, and Samantha Inoue-Harte
- Cthulhu Mythos in Recent Media
- Adult Swim: what to expect next
- 3D Printing with Fon Davis

So ask me anything! ^.^

The Flood / Harley Quinn
« on: September 02, 2015, 04:36:58 PM »
Alright so I'm going to DragonCon this Friday, and I will be there until Monday.

DragonCon is the largest Fantasy Convention in the south-east.

I'm going to be cosplaying as Harley Quinn, and my fiance is going to be the Joker.

So, me and Mister J will be painting the town green!

I need points for Character and want to know what you think is the most important characteristic/body language/phrase or saying that makes Harley Quinn who she is?

Costume isn't finished yet

Gaming / Favorite Board Games
« on: August 26, 2015, 06:00:10 PM »
There are just days I want to sit down and play a board game instead of staring mindlessly into a tv or computer screen. I have a small collection of board games including Life, Monopoly, Apple to apples, and Jenga.

My favorite board game would have to be Words Against Humanity, because laughing is good for your health, and there are some great lulz with that game.

So what is your favorite board game?

The Flood / Broken Rules Vs. Hugbox
« on: August 10, 2015, 01:13:17 PM »
So, I've noticed that there's a lot of concerns floating around about how our community stands atm. From what I've seen the main concern has been about the rules and the fear of becoming a complete hugbox. There was a recent surge of new bunglers joining and/or returning to Sep7agon.

What does this have to do with anything?

Well you see simply put our community thrives on conflict, because we all enjoy a little trolling. Otherwise in moments of peace among the memebers we become a hugbox, and then the shitposting ::cough::... sorry "funposting" begins.

So what happens when this happens? Let the trolling begin. It seems the only way to rile the community up is to start trolling, or attempting to start conflict.  In turn these interactions between users comes off as hostile to new memebers and dissuades them from posting as much, and a lot just don't come back.

"New" people and more people increase the activity and can make the community more interesting.

I DONT WANT A FUCKING HUGBOX

I'm pretty sure I'm missing a point or two here, but what do you guys think?
