The whole post I just wrote you there is wrong however, in part. It's just how I work. In order to justify a statement I go through a checklist of things that I remember to lead to a conclusion. The conclusion of a statement, to me, on its own, always just seems out of place.

makes sense really. the xbone is weak as fuck, they want 60fps with big open areas (which would put a lot of strain on the console if it was splitscreen)and lots of things happening. there's no way that was gonna happen with splitscreen.
So the franchise that made splitscreen popular isn't going to have splitscreen at all? Are you supposed to buy two Xbox Ones to play co op?
That's one way to sell consoles, remove splitscreen from all games.
Now every household needs multiple consoles
No, now most households still have one console but much less of them will be purchasing Halo 5.
