The Flood / Re: Game of thrones S6E3: Oathbreaker (Tower of Joy) discussion thread« on: May 10, 2016, 10:57:34 AM »Do you ever watch two unevenly matched pro sports teams playing? Both train extensively and dedicate most of their lives to playing said sport, but when they meet in the field the better team makes the other look like children. Same here. It's hard to have tact, keep your composure and not look like a flailing mess of a child when you're up against something or someone several leagues ahead of you. There is being put off by a tough opponent and flailing at him in a mess. How do you expect them to appear coherent when fighting the "greatest swordsman who ever lived"? I thought the fight scene was pretty fucking badass, it needed to almost unbelievable to put into perspective how good he was.^thisYou can also do that without having him dual weld like an autistic anime character. They had to make Dayne give a lasting impression, which would have been pretty impossible to pull off with him fight 4 guys at one time with one sword without a LOTR-esque fighting sceneYeah it is actually. There was really no point in actively disregarding the source material other than to make the scene look extra kewl and cater to normies impressed by flashy fight scenes. No one else triggered by dual wielding Arthur Dayne? As opposed to the ACTUAL scene where he wields a magical sword crafted from a fallen star. 370
The Flood / Re: Game of Thrones just FUCKING CONFIRMED it!!!« on: May 10, 2016, 09:37:11 AM »Cleganebowl already happened, in book/season 1. It won't be happening ever again because it's thematically inappropriate (that might and probably wont stop DnD but Game of Thrones isnt canon anyway). Fuck cleganebowl and fuck all the get hype sheep. The whole gravedigger malarkey didn't happen in the show though, so they could just inexplicably have the Hound return to fight for the Faith. Not that that would be any better, but still. 371

The Flood / Re: Feminist Frequency Youtube channel banned« on: May 07, 2016, 02:07:02 PM »That still falls under fair use though I think?? You're allowed to monetize a video and still claim fair useMordo, what exactly has she stolen? Are you talking about specific clips of games that others have uploaded and she uses in her videos?I believe so. I haven't kept up with this at all but I do remember seeing complaints from people that she was using their footage without consent way back when. They put the videos side by side to show that she just downloaded someone else's video and cut out parts to use in her own videos without giving credit. And seeing how she clearly does it for commercial purposes and makes money from it, claiming fair use isn't evident. 376
