Yes it is, saying something with a different accent isn't equivalent to pronouncing differently in this case, "Garage" uses a soft g sound in UK English and a "sh" sound in US English, on top of putting emphasis on different parts of the word. That's the difference. And what does it matter if you used a word with "z" in it? I'm telling you that I don't care that some word is pronounced the same in two different locations, that doesn't mean all words are.

The point is to milk it a bit longer, maybe until we just decide for ourselves that its a "ruse". When you say you were joking almost as soon as things go sour it makes it seem like you didn't get the reaction you were after, which is the opposite of trolling.
