I just want Obsidian to get their hands on it again.
Can Obsidian even do anything with it, though?

Obsidian makes RPGs, first and foremost. Frankly, I don't see HOW you can turn what Bethesda slapped the Fallout logo on into a proper RPG this time. The framework is just not there.

Even mods can change the dialogue to a more classic look, then they just need to add more options
*fix the options that currently exist

seriously, besides the fact that the previews are completely off-base for the real response half the time, most of the dialogue is fucking AWFUL

what i mean is anyone that wanted to build a game with a good story is possible if they wanted a more classic feel, and previous games couldve had way more than 4 options

the bad story isnt a result of the engine, just the writing

that said the previews for the text was changed too to match the actual sentences they said with the mod, in the older games your character didnt speak at all though

it was a bad design choice they never had to make before

Gaming / Re: Why is Planetside 2 free?
« on: April 19, 2016, 12:46:06 PM »
It's "free," if you would consider grinding 8 hours for a weapon attachment to be "free."
yeah I literally played for thirty minutes and got a red dot sight and grip for my weapon
They need a way for players to give certs to each other. By the time you're BR 100 you have so many certs you just don't even know what to spend them on.
that wont happen cause of things like this

i think you guys are nitpicking here

lets say pain isnt bad but for the most part evolved so that any normal person wouldnt want to experience it and the same can be said for emotional pain

i also cba to read most of this but id think a person considered decent by the standards of anyone here should have an idea of sympathizing or empathizing with their fellow man faced with a choice such as this to pick the most apparent philanthropic outcome, in this case suffer so many others might not have to

there has been such in the past where people have had to make great sacrifices to the overall advancement of things such as technology, medicine, etc, and maybe there had been plenty of bad things that happened too but some of these people are people who we believe to have made humans what we are today

always wanting to more is likely why weve gotten as far as we have

as a nihilist, you're literally throwing away everything the human race has built over millenia to be a hedonist cunt

the thing about morality is that, beyond what makes you a good person, it also builds strong, healthy, productive societies

a society run by nihilists wouldn't be a society at all--it would be anarchic chaos
You know, beyond doing drugs, something I haven't done in a while, I don't really engage in hedonism. I really can't anyhow and even if I did, let's face it, I'm not the type who would be pulling tail every day. I just acknowledge that everything is meaningless. It wouldn't matter to people in the next state, much less the next block from my house if I died tomorrow. Everything about me will be completely forgotten in I'd say roughly 20 years after I died. This isn't true for just me, but for you, and pretty much everyone else with exception of those who have obtained some form of historical immortally. My life is meaningless, yours is, my family's is, literally everyone and everything is just inconsequential.
you could say that you could sacrifice that person for the everlasting glory of your name written in the history books and not care for the person at all and still be a hero

you gain both immortality and respect
Certainly would be nice to happen, but doubt that I'd ever be influential enough to have a place in existence like that.
youd sacrifice the person though right

The Flood / Re: Who would win: horse or gorilla?
« on: April 18, 2016, 10:16:25 PM »
i know gorillas have a lot of killing power and are almost literally just hair and muscles but i think speed takes precedence in this, the gorilla would first have to grab the horse which sounds very difficult given the speed in which a horse can kick and recoil

if the horse just ran into the gorilla though the gorilla woudl easily win

i think a horse would win

if a gorilla got mad and started chasing it the horse would be startled and outrun it

if the gorilla tried to sneak up on the horse it would just get kicked in the face

The Flood / Re: Who would win: horse or gorilla?

This isn't some kid show where the horse won't attack. The gorilla is strong, but the horse? The horse is evil.
YouTube

i think horses have some sort of reflex

if you touch them near the rear they probably kick involuntarily
