I know it's a pasta since the comments told me so

but never answer "playing video games" as your first hobby. Make it sound like something that reflects some productivity at first glance, like uhh... sports or some normie shit.
sports and video games are literally as productive as each other
not to the employer

unless you were applying for a job at a game dev studio
it SOUNDS better to an employer, sure, but to say it's more "productive" is just objectively wrong
well its at least exercise if nothing else

.

im glad you took it well but some of this stuff you should work towards being able to do without even thinking about it when proper anatomy (stylized or not, you will be able to tell) becomes habit

not saying you only have one artist to go from, just giving an example, many of those artists will have had the same groundwork

i have 4 now just from forzathons, and the first one was the 918, and I think i even missed a couple

The 918 is the only one im missing :(

Which program do you use again?

Same old shit from me again. At least I'm improving.

i think youre developing habits that actually makes the anatomy worse

the way you draw noses may look fine from the side but were you to draw a face that was facing the screen, how would you go about it

highlights from the eyes are supposed to come from one light source, it makes your eyes look cross-eyed if you give them separate directions unless the light source is close (then it would converge, but never diverge)

you also dont seem to understand the reason for the indent between the collar bones is the collar bones themselves, and tbh looking in the mirror would tell you this

necks also have an angled potrusion that goes down towards this indent, unlike the rectangular necks you draw

if youre drawing collar bones i at least suspect you want them to represent a human's so i would not say this is a stylistic choice; neck size and shape would be

your lines are good but i feel l ike youre getting worse with the faces, im not sure how many tutorials or things like that you look at but if there arent many other artists criticizing your work it could be self destructive to the learning process

theres a saying that goes learn the rules before you break them; if youre trying a similar style to kushinovs art, he did a lot of life drawing and still life before he started doing his own work, and maybe you wont notice it now, but it pays off, and youll see it in your art; then when you go to look back at your old stuff, namely these, youll know exactly what you did wrong

It's actually quite affordable, and you can use any headphones you want.
I'm talking about heapdhones that don't use 3.5mm on the headphone side of the detatchable cable

for example akg uses this proprietary mini-XLR, it's fine if you want to use 3.5mm but if you want to attach the 3.5mm mic to it too, it'll hang low and the weight of the mic will loosen the connection, so it's not ideal or a great solution

same with audio technica headphones, which use a lock-in 2.5mm

the adapters you get for those are long and unwieldy
Did you not read the rest of my post? I linked the 2.5mm alternate and the lock mechanism is very easily removed. I had a pair of Sennheiserโ€‹s with the same issue, I got them working just fine with the adapter, and the KetDirect mic is actually pretty decent.

I thought I had addressed that with the second part of my post

I don't see how the 2.5mm helps with AKGs, beyerdynamic or audeze headphones, plus the audio technica 2.5mm is inset so much you can't remove that without voiding your warranty, the only way around that would be to have a 2.5mm so thin you can basically bypass it

locking adapters on the other hand, hang off the headphones due to the extra length and makes it swing around loosely if you wanted to attach a boompro style mic

in that case something similar to the modmic might be better

i don't think i've ever actually used a headset for gaming

Surround sound is nice in shooters and my TV's speakers are fucked.

Plus, it's nice to have when you want to watch tv and not keep other people awake, or if you want to talk while playing.
My favorite thing about surround sound headphones is being able to hear what direction stuff is coming from, plus a bunch of other really subtle sounds that you wouldn't pick up on otherwise. Makes you really appreciate the work of the audio engineers

while it may work in practice, human hearing is stereo and software modelling the acoustics of the ear works better in most cases; simulated surround sound versus 5.1 or 7.1 smaller drivers, simulated wins

if you have a room where you can set up a speaker system, that's obviously better, but you're still listening to that through two ears

when you have a pair of headphones that just sit on your head, it doesn't matter how many drivers the headphones have, your ears are stereo, and the reason why your brain can tell if something is behind you is because of how the shape of your ears changes that sound - software already does an effective job at this, and it's why there's a "headphones" option separate from "small speakers" option in most games

there are binaural microphones with ear-shaped cups that allow them to mimic that shape, but the thing is, these are still binaural microphones, not 10 individual microphones

https://www.theverge.com/2015/2/12/8021733/3d-audio-3dio-binaural-immersive-vr-sound-times-square-new-york

it doesn't matter what heaphones you use (unless they are particularly shitty), virtual surround works better than cramming 10 smaller, lower-quality sound drivers into a pair of cans than two large and very high-quality drivers

think of it this way, your ears are a pair of binaural microphones with carefully adjusted polar patterns that allow you to sense the direction of sound, you still only have two ears; some humans also have very well shaped ears, I believe they're called superpinna or something, and when you have binaural microphones with cups modeled after those ears, there are tests that have been done to show that they actually improved directional perception of sound for anyone that listened to the audio that was recorded using those microphones

to compare the two:

2 ears which alter sound depending on direction and 2 large high-quality drivers which alter sound using software

as opposed to

2 ears which alter sound depending on direction and 10 small, lower-quality drivers which may also have a layer of virtual surround over it

again, they both work, and i know im being super anal about this but ive worked on a game using VR with 3D audio, and did a short sound production course and this was one of the first things they talked about in regards to sound perception

virtual surround is incredibly effective, and in some cases works better than people's actual hearing
