if nobody used it on the ps3 then its more like 3 or 4 years

tbf the ps3 was 10 years ago

Most people haven't played a good game in their lives.
i wont get into what one person likes and another person doesnt

but at the end of the day sony is still a business and if they dont think it will bring in more money than it would cost to do then it wont be done

look at all the good consumer centric approaches have done for companies like sega, nintendo and amd, and its the customers fault as much as it is the industry

if we buy a product regardless of what we dislike about it then we support their actions regardless

the PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?
oh fuck off

who the fuck is this guy
well you would but i can see why most people wouldnt

not to mention porting software for different hardware with different technology standards is difficult work for no money on sonys part, if you were going to buy a ps2 game now, it would probably be off ebay or in some brick and mortar shop

not saying it isnt useful and its a welcome addition

also pc has best backwards compat

161
i guess these dont technically count but the halos were okay because at least you could sit back and watch your friend fuck up over and over again whilst blasting stuff

generally though turret sections are like on rails shooters with a slow turn speed and even less depth

I prefer to be a consumer, not an investor
then dont invest

simple

what exactly is oversaturated in the game market

furthermore, crowdfunding provides a platform for projects and ideas that would otherwise never see the light of day, that  just asks the question: "do you want to see this product? we can make it happen if you trust us enough"

instead of centralising the decision process, you don't have to impress one or a few men who may not know much about the actual games entertainment value, and is more about the business aspect; you pitch your idea to people who want to see it happen regardless of whether or not "business predicts x or y", and sometimes, a truly great product comes out of it. you have the potential to reach out to a lot of people who stand by your idea and think that it's a good one.

again the biggest problem is the misinformed investors who believe they're entitled to the same rights as when they're buying a product

all in all, crowdfunding is a good idea let down by misplaced expectations, when a project goes well, the person is satisfied and that's that. when it doesn't go well, people start wondering how they're going to get their money back, and are going to be vocal about it when they don't realise they didn't pay for a product

you're more likely to complain about a product that is broken than you will speak about a product that does exactly what you want

You seriously can't think of a reason to listen to what people have to say?
No; I can't think of a reason to listen to what the developers say what people think about the game.
Quote
You should buy the early access because it's not only cheaper
I disagree with this business model as it perpetuates predatory entries into the early access program. Maybe the game is 10/10 as-is. That's great, and I'll give it a fair shake when it's finished.
it's not a business model until it's the release candidate

you don't yet have a product, you have part of a product that you're sharing with your investors as a indicator that their money is being put to use in the right places

when it comes to the people who pay up though, and in one of the worst case scenarios, this could just be a kid who likes the kickstarter teaser trailer with parents that have loose wallets - not a big-wig publisher that understands the industry and clutches his purse strings tightly with many questions and critical thinking honed with years of experience working in the industry

when it comes to kickstarter, anyone could be an investor, but what they are NOT when they hand their money over, is a customer, and go on to complain when they don't have the product they want

I don't support early access, but I'll check it out when it's actually released.

Also
>$400 fanfic DLC
“The game is fully playable, low in bugs, and well-balanced. Players have been enjoying the game over 13+ alpha versions we've released since our Kickstarter in October 2013, and many have reported enjoying the game for tens or hundreds of hours.”

"“The price may rise after Early Access. We're not sure. "

Why would I listen to what the developer has to say about what other players think about the game, and why should I support an obvious attempt to leverage a lower price for early access purchases? Purchasing unfinished games for full price is bad for the gaming industry.

as with any crowdfunded project it relies on the trust of the investor that is also a potential customer

as long as you understand what you're getting yourself into, you fully accept that as long as the people carrying out what they set to do on their pitch - have reached the minimum viable product, that your money may not have necessarily been put toward the product that you want to see, but the product that they've achieved

it's not bad for the industry, it's bad for the uninformed would-be consumer that thinks investing into a pitch is the same as buying a product or preordering one, and I believe this lack of understanding turns into a huge grey area when people aren't satisfied with what they end up with

what people need to realise is that they're not buying a product, they're investing in an idea that has yet to happen

I see no problem with crowdfunding games, as long as people know what they're buying into, it also may push people into being more careful with what they fund and being sure that they might not get what they want; should they accept that fact when handing over what is essentially a donation for the project, they'll understand that it's all about trusting who you're investing in

bose is mediocre but they have the best noise cancelling tech bar none if you absolutely need it

if you want something portable with good isolation, get ciems that mold to your ears

they can get very expensive

if not, just get a good pair of iems with foam tips

any offering for over-ears/on-ears wont do as good as job for sound quality as any half decent iem for the same price

a good iem seal is comfortable, silent and firm when you try to move it

My uni setup, horribly wired but compact enough for a notepad for revision and notetaking, and headphones to block out the noise of nextdoors' houseparties and the fans of the laptop when it's at full spin.

Rounds up to about £900 if you count the Laptop, the speakers, the headset and a cheapy mouse. Oh, and a $1 mousepad.
i think i have that mouse except mines not glossy
if it says tecknet on it

LOL you're an idiot.

The keyboard/mouse and two of the monitors were already there. All the parts for the computer plus the third monitor came out to a little less than $2k at the time. You could probably make the same build now for considerably less.

Both of those look expensive as fuck.
build i made for friend, this was under 900, mech keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers, pc

ryzen 1500x, rx480 4gb
