The Flood / Things you like in movies you dislike?
« on: September 18, 2015, 07:40:40 PM »
Excluding: 'It ended.'

I really like the end bit of Attack of the Clones when all the Clones are boarding the ships and the Imperial March is playing and Palpatine is standing there looking smug as fuck. That was a cool scene.

Gaming / Can I not play MGSV offline?
« on: September 18, 2015, 07:37:33 PM »
So we got a new router in the house and I hadn't connected my PS4 yet because I didn't really need to.

Upon loading MGSV I got this message.

I then set up my internet again and I could play the game just fine.

I'm moving in a few days and won't have internet for a little bit, will I be unable to play? I'm scared. Has this happened to anyone else?

Been drawing JoJo scenes with MGS characters. Felt like making a lil thread in case anyone wanted to see what I have so far. Enjoy:

Gaming / Violence breeds violence, but in the end it has to be this way.
« on: September 18, 2015, 07:28:06 AM »
Konami has ceased all triple-A console game production on everything but Pro Evolution Soccer and there are currently no plans for a big new Metal Gear game, while worldwide technology directr Julien Merceron has left the company. That's according to a pair of reports on French site Gameblog. Eurogamer understands both reports to be true.

Gameblog wrote yesterday that Merceron was apparently unhappy with Konami's transition away from the console market towards mobile games.

Beyond Metal Gear Online - the separate online component to Metal Gear Solid 5 that is currently being finished - and Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, Konami has a blank triple-A slate. It does however have the licence to the football tournament Euro 2016, so we'd expect it to make use of that.

Problems at Konami were highlighted earlier in the year when Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima left the company and his Kojima Productions studio was dissolved. He had reportedly fallen out with Konami's big bosses who refused to bankroll his long and lavish productions any longer. Metal Gear Solid 5 reportedly cost $80m to make. Any new Metal Gear Solid game Konami produces will presumably be made without Kojima involved.

Further problems at Konami were highlighted when respected financial Japanese newspaper Nikkei ran an article about a deteriorating company culture at Konami's game division. Employees "deemed useless" were apparently given menial and degrading tasks, and communication with outsiders was restricted and lunch breaks monitored.

What comes next for Konami, and for Kojima, we'll have to wait and see.

I really liked Ice Cream Man and Ghost Busters.

Nascar in Halo Reach was fun too. Made me laugh so much.

The Flood / Origins of your username?
« on: September 16, 2015, 08:52:26 PM »
When Bungie.net got the overhaul into... whatever, everyone got to change their username, so I changed from Kai Hiwatari to Big Boss because I could. And from there is all a long and woeful tragic tale.

What about you?

The Flood / There's a special place in hell for people like this

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/gang-of-paedophiles-groomed-pregnant-women-to-secure-babies-for-sexual-abuse-hearing-told-10495629.html

Seriously, ugh. That's all kinds of wrong. I actually feel kind of sick just thinking about it. Why are people so fucked up like this :(

The Flood / When do you think we'll see Adam Warlock in the MCU
« on: September 13, 2015, 07:43:51 PM »

I've been watching Comicsexplained videos and he explains the Infinity Gauntlet and stuff, Adam Warlock seems like a coolguy. We saw his cocoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, so when do you think he'll show up?

Don't look up or at any new Lego sets that come out. Seriously, they spoil so much shit. Had Iron Man 3's big twist spoiled on a box I saw.

Just thought I'd let you know.

Gaming / Hardest Call of Duty missions on Veteran?
« on: September 12, 2015, 09:40:34 AM »
As much as we hate CoD I'm guessing quite a few of us beat the campaigns, and probably on Veteran too. What were the hardest missions, do you think?

I know WaW was a massive grenade spam fest and Mile High Club was impossible but I didn't actually play those on Veteran.

I only finished MW2, Blops 1 and Blops 2 on Veteran. Loose Ends in MW2 was fucking horrible but Blops wasn't so bad actually.

The Flood / This is England 90

So yeah This Is England was a great film, dunno if anyone here saw it/ liked it. The tv show sequels were also really good. There's a new one coming soon. Just thought I'd put that out there if anyone enjoyed the series.

The Flood / Favorite British comedies
« on: September 09, 2015, 09:20:37 PM »
Sometimes it's nice to just make a cup of tea, sit back and watch a few classic episodes of British comedy. What are your favorites?

Mine are
Only Fools and Horses (Duh, who doesn't like it?)
Blackadder (This one's my favorite)
Red Dwarf
The Royle Family
The Vicar of Dibley
Spaced
Phoenix Nights
Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere

I still need to see Father Ted

What the fuck even was this show? I used to watch it and get scared.

Gaming / I don't really know where I'd like Pokemon to go next
« on: September 09, 2015, 03:40:57 PM »
Honestly. I love Pokemon. And they could still make some awesome new designs. And I would get the new game if/when they do Gen 7.

But how much is too much? Should they just stick to spinoffs like Colosseum, Mystery Dungeon and Pokken? Or make a few more Gens and see how that goes?

The Flood / Favorite curry?
« on: September 07, 2015, 12:50:21 PM »
I want to know what your favorite curry is. I  enjoy a jalfrezi or madras.

People who say chicken korma is their favorite are the worst type of people.

The Flood / What the fuck was up with that fatass vampire in Blade
« on: September 06, 2015, 08:17:39 AM »

It used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. Especially the bit where it gets burned. Was it even in the comics?

What do you think? Personally I'm getting a bit sick of the endless superhero movies coming out, even though some of them are admittedly pretty enjoyable.

Gaming / What's the Mad Max game like?
« on: August 30, 2015, 07:09:46 AM »
I haven't actually seen any gameplay or demos, so has anyoner here played/seen gameplay of it? My Dad just said it's in Tesco and he might get it.

Gaming / Easiest Dark Souls boss (Excluding Pinwheel and Asylum Demon)
« on: August 29, 2015, 07:07:42 PM »
I'd say it's probably Seath. He had a cool entrance and a cool location, but you can just stand in front of his belly and keep swinging away and he can't even hit you. At least Pinwheel could split up and potentially overwhelm you if you take too long but Seath is a bit of a joke.

The Flood / Southpaw
« on: August 28, 2015, 04:56:44 PM »
I watched it today. Damn, that was hard to watch sometimes. Jake Gylenhall is really going for it, was a great film. Did anyone else see it?

The Flood / How was your P.E/Gym experience in school?
« on: August 27, 2015, 01:19:21 PM »
Was thinking about it today. I fucking hated PE. Was forced to play rugby and football, even though they barely explained the rules and just expected us to know everything. At least we got to choose to use the fitness suite in year 10. After that I never played a single game of football or rugby.

895
The Flood / Favorite Blackadder series?
« on: August 25, 2015, 07:39:56 AM »
One of the best British shows. If you haven't seen it, it's definetely worth a watch. I had to watch it in History class, actually enjoyed it. If you saw it, what was your favorite series?

The Flood / Grave Encounters
« on: August 20, 2015, 02:49:30 PM »
What did you think of this movie, and/or the sequel? I thought they were actually enjoyable. Got a bit weird towards the end but they were pretty good. I actually enjoy watching those kinds of shows so the movie was a nice spin on those.

It was a little while ago. He made a video in his car where he was talking about girls, or something. I really can't remember.
