It was fun drinking and smoking when I first came to uni but now I've just chilled out and it's way more relaxing lol

I'd rather drink tea or blackccurrant squash

Aren't you still telling them dough?

I mean not telling them any of the big major stuff, like the existence of God and or aliens. I'd help people with shit like finding their TV remote or keys lol

9217
I mean if you knew about the existence of aliens, deities and all that, knowledge that could potentially change the world. Would you tell about it and (probably) cause mass panic or hysteria, or keep it on the down low, only revealing certain things and letting things go the way they are?

Apart from all the universal mysteries, I would just like to know the history of any object and any given time. Often I'll be out and see some ruins or old building, and I have no clue what it is, and the internet doesn't help much either. Main reason I'd love time travel powers...

The Flood / Re: Question About SW: Episode VII
« on: December 09, 2015, 08:35:34 PM »
Only SW game I've played was Republic Commando.

.....you've missed out on so much. Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Outcast. Geez.

Unfortunately since VII is a new story, we've got nothing to base the reasoning for The Resistance being called such on. All we can do is speculate. The First Order is something that was left of the Empire that got organized and powerful. The Resistance could for all we know even BE a New Republic, they just don't call themselves that.

I think that's what it will come down to. The New Republic is back (since the Rebellion wanted that to be the end result, democracy and freedom from an Empire). So naturally they'd make a Republic. And maybe "The Resistance" is what they call themselves only once they start fighting the First Order?

I'm guessing they DID make a new Republic but the Empire remnants fucked them over somehow and now they're the resistance or something.

I think I remember this, wasn't it some aliens hunting down an escaped human?

Yup. Some of the plot left me scratching my head but I found it enjoyable.

The Flood / Hunter Prey
« on: December 09, 2015, 07:14:16 PM »

Was scrolling through Netflix looking for something to watch, and came across Hunter Prey. Watched the whole thing, I actually quite enjoyed it. 'Twas an independed sci fi action film about some commandos on a desert trying to catch some guy. Story and effects weren't amazing, but I think they did a good job with what they had.

So yeh if you need something to watch and enjoy that kinda stuff, give it a go.

Did anyone of you have a crush on famous people as a kid? I mean lime models, actresses, whatever.

I think Holly Valance gave me my first excitement. Had a bit of a thing for Emma Watson for many years too...

General Information

Name: Cyrus Hale
Race: Human
Age: 24
Career: Wanderer
Residence: Abandoned spaceship crashed high in the snowy mountains

Appearance

Physical Features: Tall and bulky, with long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and a thick beard that he rarely cuts since he gets no visitors. Blue eyes, with heavy scarring under his left due to a malfunction in the ship's core that occurred while he was scavenging for supplies. Wears a military uniform patched up with various materials and has a suit of 6ft powered cryo fibre armor if he needs it.
Height:5'5 /6ft in armor
Weight: 200 lbs (no armor), 300 (with armor)

Personality

General Traits: Due to not having much human interaction in a while, Cyrus' social skills have gone into a bit of a decline and he mostly speaks in short sentences that get straight to the point.
Strengths: Great physical and athletic skills due to the ship's onboard training facilities and his own background as a military commander.

Weaknesses: Lacks 'people' skills, doesn't want to get close to people because they'll probably die anyway
Quirks: Is very close to his adopted pet snowcat that wandered into the ship while injured and he nursed it back to health
Desires: To repair the spaceship and get off the planet, but that is highly, highly unlikely. He pretty much knows this so he just lives out his time surviving.

Background

Childhood Summary: Born to a poor family on the outskirts of Hope village, Cyrus helped his father work on the farm until it was raided by pirates, being kidnapped and raised as a slave while his whole family was killed. A stubborn boy who refused to cooperate, he was beaten so hard and so often that his captors eventually became impressed by his resilience and treated him like one of them. Though he was welcomed and treated as a fellow pirate, Cyrus refused to take part in any of their raids and killings, instead staying back to investigate the pirates' records and figure out a way to escape and take his revenge. After a few more years had passed, he succeeded in sabotaging the life-support engines on the pirate base which resulted in chain reaction throughout the entire station, causing the pirates to choke, wither and die while he simply stood there and watched with an emotionless expression, neither happy nor sad, he simply felt... empty. He took a shuttle from the bay, leaving the empty shell of the former pirate stronghold behind, being caught in the gravity field of a passing military cruiser that was patrolling the area. Demanding to know why he was in restricted space, he explained his story to them and were very impressed by his determination and grit, and offered him a position in their ranks.

Adulthood Summary: A natural-born commando and strategist, Cyrus really made a name for himself while serving, known for his quick reflexes and equally quick wit, he became known as 'The Wraith' due to his uncanny ability to slaughter the enemies then somehow disappear from view shortly afterwards. (Though this was mainly due to such skirmishes occurring in blizzards or sandstorms.) Rising to the rank of commander, Cyrus began to feel disillusioned with his leaders, feeling that there wasn't something right about them. Their battle plans became increasingly more erratic and wild, often leading to the deaths of countless soldiers who followed their rule. He planned on taking action against them, but en route his shuttle got shot down by an unknown assailant and he crashed into a snowy mountain where his ship exploded shortly after he escaped. Wandering for 5 days with only his basic supply to keep him going, he stumbled across a crashed derelict spaceship of unknown origin that he settled down into and scavenged for parts. Inside, he discovered a suit of powered Cryo Fibre armor designed for heavy operations in extreme weather, and an experimental laser pistol designed to heat up and evaporate liquids.

Family: All dead

Friends: A wild snow cat that he nursed back to health and now lives with, nicknamed 'Cornflake'

Romantic Relationship: None.

Additional Info: Often discovers interesting things while exploring the derelict ship, including mysterious technology and data suggesting the ship's origin. Fashioned himself a bladed weapon from the ship's engine parts that he named The Ignition Blade

Surely we must have all done weird shit as kids.

I used to sit in my paddling pool and drop crisps in it, letting them float around me for a little while before picking them up and eating them. Soggy wet crisps are nasty but I guess I enjoyed them.

Gee
I have to pull up the really old character sheet.

You really don't need a character sheet for it, just post a good amount of details for me to look over and all approved characters will go in the OP.

I have a template for creating characters.

What sort of things do you come up with
