Manga wise the whole series from the beginning to the end is called Dragon Ball. The Z part of the name got added just for the anime and for the US manga.

I was in sudden death with some Link who was just sitting back and spamming arrows fo days. I tried hitting him but he hit me with an arrow that knocked me out of the ring
BUT
Just after I started flying, a bomb fell from the sky and hit him, sending him flying alongside me, and he died like half a second before I did

Jesus, I joined a match against 2 guys who were obviously friends, and they spent the whole game double teaming me. Fuck that.
I experience that all the time in for fun (assuming you're still playing that).
If you want to get a little serious in terms of competitive play, I suggest For Glory Smash or Team Smash. 1-on-1 is a little TOO competitive, and a lot more strategic in order to pull off a good play.
Isn't everyone on For Glory super good at the game? I can get a few kills on For Fun, but For Glory sounds nasty
