Probably the one who founded it and was smart enough not to be overambitious with titles like his uncle.
Augustus Caesar.
And Nero too because he's such an interesting waifu character. Entire life was manipulated, poor guy.
Nero is so cool.
At a time when being gay was ok in Roman society, he LITERALLY got killed for being SO INCREDIBLY GAY. That's one hell of a way to go.
Wha? He killed himself by stabbing himself in the neck.
Wait. Who was the one that got assassinated for having homo sex 24/7 then?
*shrug*

Canadians and Americans are literally the same anyway, minus the french and how gun loving the Canadians aren't.

Justinian.
Leave it to you to pick the possibly most obscure, hipster emperor of all time. Ok, Ok, I'll humour you, who in the ever living fuck was Justinian? All I know that he was in Constantinople at a time when Rome was completely irrelevant.
He did the over ambitious challenge of trying to retake Roman territory with Belisarius (vastly underrated) as his general. Under his rule he wiped out the Vandal kingdom in Africa, retook much of the boot, and made pretty great reforms. He'd have kept the boot too if reinforcements were able to get through and hold, and he didn't call back Belisarius to Constantinople. When he came back to Rome, he found it was once again completely taken over by the Ostrogoths.

Hmm... I wonder what you'll do with the HRE. I know religion will probably play a big factor. It's my friends favorite faction in any TW game lol.
Another thing though is that that would be a COMPLETELY different time period. They'd really go from the 400's all the way to the 800's? That's Medieval time.
Medieval 3 tease perhaps?
Pft, I wish, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Gametrailers, or at least I used to.
Yahtzee too but entertainment more so. But he still speaks some truth.
Honestly, I just kinda bounce all around to see the reoccurring consensus about a game, but I'm rarely on the fence about what I want to buy unless it's an older game.

It's more mature, it's darker, it's not friendly friends going adventuring against bad guys for fun! Like, barely. It has an ending that doesn't leave much hope for the good guys--I think that's just what the second film in a trilogy is supposed to do. I wouldn't go so far to say that it isn't still a family-friendly fairytale.
Not disagreeing with you. I just felt it was slightly darker. Still holds nothing on 3 though.

I feel Lucas got up his own ass with CGI when he got the tech available to him, and forgot the magic of live sets and replacing CGI. It always bothered me in episode 3 how Grevious swung his 4 light sabers like 5 feet from Obi Wan and he never flinches one bit.
That and they walked everywhere. They found out Palpatine was the emperor and instead of running they just... walk like they would any other meeting.

>dark tones >Empire
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTtttt
why, because he gets his hand sliced off
A few things if you ask me. People actually dying, allies actually losing, Luke figuring out his father is a ruthless killer, the duel between him and Vader was darker. I mean, compare it to 4 and 6. You don't have to LIKE the movie (its not my favorite either), but it certainly is more "serious" than 4 was and 6. Well, 6 outside of the Emperor/Luke in his throne room. That was great.

I always felt that Ewoks taking out fully fledged fighting machine imperials was akin to child fantasy. But Luci.
Star Wars is a child fantasy.
It's more family friendly, which is why it suddenly hit me why so many people like episode 5 in our age group. It's more mature, it's darker, it's not friendly friends going adventuring against bad guys for fun! Same reason episode 3 is seen as the only acceptable one within our age group as well. Probably the SAME reason a game like Force Unleashed (I know) is seen as a better story to bridge the gap between 3 and 4 (minus the protag being super OP) than some silly movie.

I always felt that Ewoks taking out fully fledged fighting machine imperials was akin to child fantasy. It was insanely stupid and unrealistic. Someone said it was supposed to be Wookies, which would have been much better.
Oh well, at least I can take solace in the fact that the death star blowing up = that whole planet fucked
GL's main stake was in the family audience. After ESB, he needed to tie it up in a way that wasn't PG-13 while simultaneously selling a buttload of merchandise.
What a tool I can see why people like Empire and 3 because of the dark tones you get from it.

And the if you're not with me against me thing was lovely. Or so I thought.

Daily reminder that the clones were forced against their will to obey Order 66 and are victims of Palpatine equally as much as the Jedi.
I liked it more when they were well aware it was coming. For example in Battlefront 2's campaign, the narrator of the 501st was saying how none of the troops could look the Jedi in the eye celebrating a victory with them cheerfully, because they knew what was coming.
I felt it added a lot more weight to it. Though I like to think it was a mixture of both in my own little head.
I don't remember that part of Battlefront, Order 66 was a contingency plan, it was never something that the Clones knew was going to happen, even in the old canon.
I view the inhibitor chips as way more of a reason to despise Palpatine and the Empire, and feel much more sympathy for the people that it affected. I think having the Clones be forced to do it victimizes them just as bad as the Jedi, and it adds a whole other level of tragedy to Order 66, because you've now stripped billions of soldiers of their personalities and turned them into zombies for the Empire.
It's in one of the cutscenes, but I can't be asked to find it. Still, I just like the mixture I guess.

I beleive non canon stuff was just post episode 6 so they could let the writers work without restrictions. Thank god too, because almost all the EU post episode 6 was convoluted garbage.
It was everything pre-Disney takeover.
Nope let me dream KOTOR is so far back that regardless of what happened, it in no way effects any of the movies.

It sadly consumed 80% of the plot in a movie that was supposed to be about this massive war. Yet we only get like a total of 5 minutes of any real clone battles.
It's so sad.

Great, this thread turned into NERDS arguing. You know what's great?
KOTOR. Great universe and stuff. I need to finish the 2nd one.
Not canon. :^)

KOTOR 2 has a great story, you'll won't be disappointed, also I would recommend you pick it up on steam (It has everything updated, also i believe it has the cut content in the game)
I'm super late since I had to do stuff, but really? I already have it. Screw it, I'll download it now and give it a run before bed.

Revenge had the best performances and had a lot of darker, more mature themes than Star Wars is usually accustomed to. Anakin's fall was amazing to watch and is actually pretty heartwrenching at times.
I can agree to this.

I think Verb is going against the grain simply because of how stereotyped fans are into liking episode 5 and hating the prequels.

I'll admit, I think 2 was the worst in the series and I had trouble watching it, simply because you ALWAYS hear about the Clone Wars in the series, from the original till the end. And yet instead of epic battles, we get this love story thrown in with terrible fan-fic tier writing, and then for whatever reason, THE BIG BATTLE SCENES ONLY LAST AROUND 30 SECONDS!!!
With the ship and them evacing, to the Jedi wrecking shit? It was just so freaking bad to me.

Episode 5 as number one? How cliche. I honestly think episode 4 was better.
Still, your reviews are pretty spot on. I'm glad you said episode 3 was the only one worth a damn in the prequels. Too right.
And yes, the only one they handled correctly in the prequels WAS Obi-Wan. He was great. Jar Jar was just a racist slave brought in for whatever reason.

Being gay is totally normal. So is being trans.
They're both wrong, though.
You have that mixed up. Being gay/trans is NOT normal by definition, but there is nothing WRONG with that. I can't tell if you're just trolling or being legit about what you've been saying so far.
