Seriously then, Brink was awful. Backbreaker was too because they were saying it was something that could go up against Madden.
As someone who didn't see all of the hype for it, Brink was bordering on passable.
Last game I was amazingly hyped for.

Anyone else cringe at the OP image? Seems very edgy.

No Mans Sky
LIED TO

if no man's sky is the worst game of the decade, then this is the best decade for video games that there ever will be

never mind games like duke nukem forever, which are actually bad, and had 17 some-odd years of build-up for an offensively broken waste of resources that tries harder than rocketman's sense of humor
Duke Nukem Forever is pretty bad, but I mean, did you not even think about the abbreviation of it?

Did
Not
Finish

DNF

The murder of Arminius. He led the Germanic people to victory over Rome when it was seen as unstoppable, and because of that, they never took anything past the Rhine. He was also able to unify the different tribes under one banner and could have potentially formed a Kingdom. No other faction would even be up to that task until the Franks hundreds of years later.
fucking barbars

Every time
I can understand it, because back then they were more set in their ways and Roman influence wasn't around for nearly as long. Still, it is a bit sad. That being said, with the Visigoths sacked Rome and took over, they adapted to Roman laws and what not, which is how modern Europe was formed. Not suddenly do away with it.

You might love Halo: CE, but it aged like a fruit fly.

For 2000-2010. I think the Halo series has a shot of being up there.
you're kidding
As much as I hate it, I can't deny the impact Halo 1 had on consoles. I personally like Metal Gear more so. But I'm probably not thinking of some other games I loved.

"The government will slaughter us all since they'll take away our guns!!!" generic conservative

"They're a bunch of racists who want things to go back to the 50's" generic liberal

To say one side does it and the other doesn't, is really stupid. Just look at anything political and you'll see otherwise.

Hope I got those examples right

And I think the opposite is true, conservatives almost exclusively make logical appeals and liberals almost exclusively make emotional appeals that cannot work in reality. But, as I said, I have some leftist views -- the reasonable ones that are logical to have.
I don't know what you both are on about. I see both sides doing the same emotional appeals and things that won't work.

Daily reminder that class thinks time is only a number on a clock.
He wasn't wrong in this particular argument though.

There was no argument, because he couldn't argue.
Part of that argument involved you dismissing an entire political side though, so it's not like you have much to brag about.

I have a few leftist ideas, actually. But full on leftists are always the same to me, they always resort to childish, emotional behavior and petty insults when I try to seriously argue about it. I've never been proven wrong.
Anyone on the extreme of either end is obnoxious as hell to begin with if you ask me.

I agree. They're always riddled with problems that lead them to these ideas. You have to be a reasonable person and find a balance.
For me it's always unfortunate that it seems they think they're always right and the logic to them arguing is "I'm right and you're wrong", and when you bring up a valid point it's just met with "lol no"

But that's just people in general. Idk, I hate people.

for 2010 onwards with years left... I honestly don't know. Mass Effect 2 was great. Uh... eh, idk.

Sounds like you're doing well. Yes, a key tip to any Total War game, is to be friends with someone who's between you and your enemies. Good buffer states.

I've been blessed to have only experienced close deaths recently. The kind of thing that would devastate a younger me really had no impact when it came. I attribute it to years of desensitization through the internet and video games. I feel bad about it sometimes. I'm a cold dude, and not in the positive sense.

So it's hard for me to sympathize with the losses others experience. I really want to, but it's alien to me at this point.
It's what makes us human. You can feel a bit sorry for their pain, but to not care if they have no impact on you personally is only natural. Hell even my grandma dying and my mother breaking down in tears didn't really phase me all that much.

but his rhetoric has allowed the alt right and radio tier talk to come into the mainstream

I'd argue that what he isn't saying regarding alt right groups, white supremacists, and people like David Duke is as consequential as what he is saying.

Just my two cents.
You mean like denouncing them and what not? Just kinda letting his supporters say it? If that's the case, I'd agree with you.

I sort of have to be by myself. When I'm around others we obviously talked about the good times, laughed sadly, etc.

But a lot of times I'm alone. Or confide to my significant other. At least when I had one. Best friend also is nice. Basically, I actually just kind of get away from the family and talk to an outside party since they're not as affected by it and have a cooler head. That calmness soothes me.

Edit: And for what it's worth, I'm sorry you're going through pain like that. It's never fun.

Trump isn't racist I don't think

but his rhetoric has allowed the alt right and radio tier talk to come into the mainstream, which is why we're seeing it more up front. That and the media likes to latch onto everything he says, which is telling in of itself about the media.

I'd care more about it if the alternate candidate wasn't the very definition of what is wrong with the US government.

I'd honestly just get Attila. It's the exact same thing but better everything.

3 rules to getting good though

1. Don't get flanked

2. Know the basic rules. Spears = defending and beat horses, swords = attacking and pushing, arches = good at flanks/rear

3. The preparation for a battle is usually the deciding factor. Just have a competent force and make sure you're not outnumbered. Look up some general tips too.

This is why Hillary can't be president. There will only be more occurrences of US backed militias trying to take down legitimate, democratic governments.
"Democratic" he says

The whole thing happened because the dictator decided to open fire on his own people. It's just the US never learns from their mistakes and keeps funding people who have shady ties at best.

I honestly don't think there are any "right" people in that region anymore aside from ISIS factions being in the wrong. You have a dictator or a power vacuum.
The protestors were most likely agitated and backed by the CIA.
That's quite the claim. Is there any evidence to let us believe this?

Edit: Nvm you guys already talked about it
