TBH I always thought the Iranians just crawled out of a hole in the ground after the Sassanid Empire fell.
Yeah same here. It's actually wayyyyy cooler that Iran has always been around and continuously for centuries, been a massive power in some form or another. I'm kinda glad it didn't poof away like the Byzantines or Romans, simply because of the rich history it has. That's some China tier levels there. Or the Danes as well.

I was joking.
I'm not. I'm a massive history nerd and never knew that, fuck you. I hate you.

It's not enforced at all honestly.

I'd suspect Ala Mhigo is the patch, much like Heavesward's new areas. They do a good job hyping them up and then rolling into them.
Ala Mhigo in a patch? No way.
Sorry, I meant the expansion. No idea why I said patch.

Congress is already having buyers remorse about passing it and wants to edit it to protect US soldiers, and immediately blamed the White House.

the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely

Trump is an idiot, it says a lot about his voters.
I'm inclined to agree. Even with the mess that is Brexit, I could still see why some people would support it. But Trump? How anyone sane of mind can support him is just beyond me.
A lot of people support Trump simply because they detest everything about Hillary. To them (and partly to me), she represents everything wrong with the US government, from corruption, to being the privileged class (no FBI indictment), to other various things we've all heard time and time again.

They'd rather see an incompetent man in office for 4 years try and shake things up, than the same things over and over and over that have helped get us in the mess we are in the first place. They also want someone who's a bit more tough on foreign policy, considering it's one of Obama's main faults. Am I saying he'd do better? No, but they want someone who seems far tougher (like calling out the Saudi or whatever Prince, which was hilarious btw) and willing to take a stand, than a president who continues to seem to be pushed around by other world leaders.

Now that's not to say I support the Donald. I just understand where people are coming from. It's not that they support Trump, it's that they hate Clinton so much, they won't side with her. This election isn't about who you support the most. It's about who you hate the least.

It's the Ayyubid dynasty. Iran is the modern country and Persia is just the area. The Sassanids were also known as the Neo Persians since they were the last line of them.
Iran was literally always called Iran. Persia means nothing in Farsi. It's a Greek word adopted by the West.
Literally

Ah I see what you're saying now

Baghdad was a place of science though in its day.
Yeah under Iranian control.

GO BACK TO YOUR BARREN DESERTS AND EAT LIZARDS
What was Iran even called back then? The Sassanids fell to the Islam surge, sooo idk.

Baghdad was a place of science though in its day. Even if they did get a lot of their knowledge from Eastern Rome.

I'm starting to like the look of Civ 6 more I think.

Damn, 97-1?

Not too sure if that's out of pure support for the bill. I'm more inclined to believe that no Senator wants to be tied down to voting against a bill for 9/11 families.
Maybe

Five? We only have one more patch before 4.0 if we're following what Yoshi has been saying.

Well Ala Mhigo will be 4.0, so we have 5 more patches to wrap story stuff up like that. It's also not surprising in the least considering what you did to them at the end of the last patch.
One major patch, but 2 smaller ones as well. According to sources. I said 5 simply because of how it jumps up a .1 or something.

Spoiler
Did the Warriors of Darkness really just disappear like that? That seemed rather anti-climatic considering they were being hyped up since the launch of Heavensward. Also, bringing back Nidhogg's eyes kind of worried me, I don't want to keep going to past content, I want the story to go into new stuff which is why I was so hyped with Ala Mhigo but it seems like I have to wait for 3.5 to get more Ala Mhigo action.

At least Sophia was fun, can't wait for the new OST to come out so I can get the track.

I know this is a joke thread but fuck historical accuracy

idc if the world was shitty in WWI and there were no black or female soldiers, it's 2016 and current games depicting that time period shouldn't be that way
Saying "fuck historical accuracy" to a game that's being historically accurate doesn't make you more correct. And the stupid "it's 2016" logic is also silly.

You sound like the girls at Rooster teeth when they bitched about lack of female solders in the mp. I hope that's the joke you're going for.

I'm mainly limited to RTS games so I like in depth gameplay with the freedom to play how I want. It's one reason why I can't play my child hood favourite any more Age of Empires because after playing games like Total War, Wargame, etc it just feels very shallow.
I've been playing Rome 2 again with mods. Is fun.
Any honourable mentions?
Sorry, I was at a wedding all weekend. Yeah I can bring up some.
So I could bring up Rome 2 mods, but I tried playing again and got annoyed at the shitty family tree system and other small things and remembered why Attila is better.
If only it ran as good Rome 2 does. But yeah I've been playing it again as the Danes trying to conquer Germany but it's hard as fuck
I'll make a playlist for you of the mods then.
Do you not like playing vanilla Attila? I think it's pretty solid minor a few things I can overlook
