But should that justify what's happening here? The pipeline isn't going through their land (it's through private property), and the tribe has already allowed many other pipelines going through the same location. The success of the protest will not affect the safety of their drinking water (though it's arguably much safer than transportation via railcar -- pipelines also result in much less carbon emission). There is, essentially, nothing at stake for the Sioux tribe.
Another subject worth discussing is whether the constant attempt at reparations has done any good at all for Native Americans -- reservations are often filthy and poorly managed, residents are four times as likely to die from alcohol related incidents, and they tend to be literal welfare states with outdated and unsafe utilities.
You might be right. I don't know all the history of it, but you're presenting a good side of it. I just think bringing out attack dogs, by non police, and actually fucking them up with that, is pretty bad.

We've discussed it already, and went into detail about the dogs they've released and shit. There is just nothing else to talk about. Yeah I think the protests do have merit, especially when the companies attack them pretty badly.

I actually watched the game with my parents, and if there's one good thing I can say about baseball, it's that it seems like a very gentlemanly sport. Unlike football, all the players looked like polite, respectable human beings. They cut their hair and they had good sportsmanship--never really swearing or getting angry or pissed off in the dugouts, at least from what I saw. That made the whole thing a lot easier to sit through because of how refreshing it was.
It is more tame, and players generally more friendly, mainly because they're not hitting one another
