Yeah if you count a British guy as having a southern Virginia accent, then sure...

Unless you mean the actual voice actor.
eden was voiced by malcolm mcdowell, a rather well known british actor
But does he sound British?
no, but i mean

it's so unpatriotic

It's funny because everyone fucking loves Liquid off

but Solidus, who is a far better character IMO, is hated

like fuck you, unenlightened masses
It's because of the one liners Liquid spouted honestly. That makes him loveable.

IT'S NOT OVER YET!!!!

BROTHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

etc etc

Yeah like, Liquid was a shit character honestly. His motivations for having a terrorist group seemed shallow at best. At least Solidus had a reason to fight and rebel against the Patriots, though he went about it the wrong way and was a bad guy for it.

Nah, I'm just bullshitting. There's really no stated reason how Solid is inferior, and the entire plot point got dropped by the time Sons of Liberty rolled around.

presumably things like 20/20 vision, predisposition to physical attributes like agility and strength, instincts and stuff could make one superior to the other

fortunately that doesn't matter

I wonder why Liquid was so pissed off about his genes in the first place. He was an indestructible blonde Brit with a sexy accent and an IQ of 180; what does he have to feel inferior about?

Though I guess it makes sense how he was actually superior given the above description.
No idea. Liquid seemed to be bad for no reason other than "Muh daddy's Outer Heaven" or something retarded.

He was just a giant man child. Why Ocelot worked for him too, I will never know.

I didn't understand the relevance part.

And if Solid had the dominant genes, why would he be less efficient?

the dominant genes just happened to be less efficient at being a soldier i guess

and what relevance part? what joke?
"at least this will have some relevance, eh Plotmaster?"

I didn't understand that, but I guess it was unrelated.

Oh you're right. I guess I confused inferior with recessive.

But why is Solid inferior then?

You guys do know Liquid had the dominant genes, right?

Ocelot confirmed it in the epilogue.

Oh my god no

at least this will have some relevance, eh Plotmaster?
I forgot this quote.

Was Ocelot fucking around or what? Cuz he DID say that in the epilogue.

Also don't get that link joke :<

It wasn't... the best game, yeah.

And it's hard to follow what MGS 3 did really.

I think there is a reason Kojima kept going back instead of forward.

The idea behind Raiden was good.

Raiden himself sucks shit.
I disagree. Honestly I liked him in MGS2, but I thought he was shit in 4 for being too broody. Broody characters come off as annoying to me anyway.

Revengence they at least gave him his sense of humor back, which is important. Only annoyance was that "Jack the Ripper" thing.

Revengeance tossed away every bit of development he got in GotP.

'I don't have to fight anymore, I'll just live with my family in peace. WAIT NO LEMME KILL SOME MORE PEOPLE THOUGH.'
Metal Gear Solid 4 was a retcon mess in general. I couldn't take any of what he said serious, along with a lot of other crap.

It made a SHIT ton of stuff established in MGS2 gone with the stroke of "Nanomachines".

Still doesn't make Raiden likable at all.

I mean, he's supposed to be the player

but I don't even like me so what does that say.
It was supposed to be the players expectations really. They expected Snake, and they didn't get him (which was so risky considering it was the most hyped game of its time), but instead get this "shallow" character.

It wasn't until the end we learn this character has this huge deep DARK background. Darker than any of the Snakes. Again, you should watch this when you get the chance. ALL OF YOU.

But it gets ridiculous in Peace Walker. I think that was the point where Kojima was like "Okay, we need someone else." He does a really good job with delivery, I just don't think the voice works all that well with BB.
Thank you. I felt the same way, it was so bad.

rom the hour of gameplay footage i watched of him, i already hate him as a character

No one likes him, honestly.

He's either whiney and a discount  version of Solid Snake or he's a melodramatic lil' bitch.
He's not bad in Revengence at all, and Raiden is one of the best done masterpieces (along with MGS2) that Kojima has ever done.

That whole game was basically Kojima reflecting the modern world and its tendencies and even the player playing the game.

Combat Evolved is one of the strongest entries, in regards to it's story. Though, granted, not as good as Halo 2, ODST or Halo 4.
Then it's not one of the strongest entries then is it?

And no, even Halo 3's story was more powerful. Halo 1's was shallow as shit. Halo 2 is the one that basically made everything what it is.

Dice has literally never released a bad game minus BF 4 for being unfinished, but you can blame EA for that.

That's a pretty good track record.

BF3. Dammit so many problems.
Like balance issues? I got it on launch and it wasn't BROKEN like BF4 was with servers and latency.

And Dice actually sticks with their games. They're still doing BF4 stuff for free.

North Korea fired a shell toward South Korea on Thursday, an official with the South Korean Defense Ministry told CNN.

Glad to see the South sticking to their word by saying they'd retaliate in a serious manner if attacked again.
