The Clone Wars made Anakin's fall to the dark side about six times more believable, but that doesn't excuse the rapid switch he makes in ROTS.
you oughta stop talking about shit that's not canon no more, dawg
The Clone Wars is canon. It's the only thing from the pre-Disney era that's still canon, as far as I know.
i require confirmation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_canon#Disney_acquisition.2C_canon_revision_and_Star_Wars_Legends

On October 30, 2012, Lucasfilm was sold to The Walt Disney Company for $4.05 billion. After the acquisition, Disney and Lucasfilm established Lucasfilm Story Group, a committee whose job is to keep track of and define the "canon" in an effort to unify the films, comics, and other media with the existing canon.

On April 25, 2014, Lucasfilm and Disney revised the franchise's canon. They announced that the existing six films and The Clone Wars television series are the "immovable objects" of Star Wars storytelling. Previously published material has been relabeled under a "Legends" label, and future content will present a different vision of people, places and events after Return of the Jedi. They also announced that all future Star Wars stories will be connected and on equal canon level as the films, with guidance coming from the Star Wars story group. Additionally, it was announced that the films of the sequel trilogy will not follow the same story as that of the Expanded Universe works taking place after the events of Return of the Jedi. The first official canon novel in the revised continuity was Star Wars: A New Dawn by John Jackson Miller, which is a prequel novel to Star Wars Rebels. It was released September 2, 2014.

Tell me these effects are mediocre.

I fucking love that sound.
They kind of are.

The best CGI in the prequels was Grievous.

That and they walked everywhere. They found out Palpatine was the emperor and instead of running they just... walk like they would any other meeting.
Nothing will ever piss me off more than the first ten seconds of the Palpatine vs. Windu fight.

Kolar literally just stands there as he get stabbed, Tin is backhanded with a saber swing that anybody could've blocked, and Fisto last a few more seconds, but he still dies like a bitch. I can't understand how they died that easily, it's ridiculous.

dont act like the original trilogy is innocent of bad dialogue.
I'm not. But at least some of the cliche lines have the excuse that they weren't yet cliches at the time they were written.

"I hate sand..."
"No, it's because I'm so in love with you!"
"If you're not with me... Then you're my enemy!"
"The negotiations were short!"
The sand line is really really not that bad. I don't see why people make fun of it so much.

The "so in love with you" line is pretty bad, I'll give you that.

What the hell is wrong with the last two lines?
Because the phrase is, "If you're not with me, you're against me." But while writing the scene, I felt like Lucas wrote it down and said, "Hmm, no, this is too generic. Let me substitute a different set of words that mean the same thing to be more original!" But it just came out as awkward and forced. It'd be like me saying "A piece of fruit a day keeps the doctor away!"

The negotiations line is more so a delivery issue, honestly. Just his face and the way that Qui-Gon looks back at him is just... Strange...

Daily reminder that the clones were forced against their will to obey Order 66 and are victims of Palpatine equally as much as the Jedi.
I liked it more when they were well aware it was coming. For example in Battlefront 2's campaign, the narrator of the 501st was saying how none of the troops could look the Jedi in the eye celebrating a victory with them cheerfully, because they knew what was coming.

I felt it added a lot more weight to it. Though I like to think it was a mixture of both in my own little head.
I don't remember that part of Battlefront, Order 66 was a contingency plan, it was never something that the Clones knew was going to happen, even in the old canon.

I view the inhibitor chips as way more of a reason to despise Palpatine and the Empire, and feel much more sympathy for the people that it affected. I think having the Clones be forced to do it victimizes them just as bad as the Jedi, and it adds a whole other level of tragedy to Order 66, because you've now stripped billions of soldiers of their personalities and turned them into zombies for the Empire.

"AND NOT JUST THE MEN. BUT THE WOMEN. AND THE CHILDREN. I SLAUGHTERED THEM.

AND I HATE THEM."

Good acting plagued by cheesy dialogue. But cheesy dialogue is all over the original trilogy.
Of course, but some of the dialogue in the prequels isn't just "Cheesy." It's... Just... Bizarre.

Hayden did the best he could with the script, but he still has some bad instances of acting in Episode II.

That scene is nice, then followed by some really horrendous line delivery when he's confessing what he did to Padme.

III > I in my opinion.

Still, so many things in ROTS pissed me off.

More specifically, the absolute raping of Grievous' character and abilities from the Clone Wars miniseries.

To everyone that says they don't have the time, let's quickly do the math here, there are 24*7 hours in a week, of which I spend 3 on exercise, so as a percentage that's [3/(24*7)]*100 = 1.78571428571%

1.8% of my total time spent working out effectively without equipment, 98% of my time is spent doing NO EXERCISE AT ALL, and yet I'm quite noticeably fit. Working out is NOT hard, it does not take up any noticeable amount of time, and the only equipment you need is GRAVITY, you simply have no excuses flood.

But I like sleep.
Properly resting after a workout is almost as important as the exercise itself. If you don't give your body a chance to repair itself then you'll only end up harming yourself, so in order to be good at working out you need to be good at sleeping a lot.
It's arguably the most important part, honestly. A lot of people think that just hitting it as hard as possible in the gym for as long as you can is what'll get you that amazing body, but that's just wrong. You can fuck yourself over big-time if you try to just pile everything in because you think more = better.

Oh, you're mostly right. I was mainly reading your posts, I guess.
Well, with regards to what you said, I don't really factor in a scene's "iconic"-ness when judging movies. What's iconic about Empire, anyway? We have the Vader reveal, the Hoth battle that everyone seems to like so much, and... I can't really think of anything else. It was that unmemorable to me. What else was iconic, and why should they be considered reasons for the film's apparent quality?
Carbonite scene.

How did they manage to escape the empire, just curious.
The were retired, along with the rest of the clones.

Daily reminder Fives is the true hero of the Clone Wars era

That scene gave a heartbreak seeing Five sacrificing himself ;(
Do you watch Rebels, by any chance? Because Rex, Wolfe, and Gregor are still alive. And they all removed their chips because of Fives' warning.

I haven't saw Season 2 yet. But I already knew that Rex, Wolfe, and Gregor are still alive, and it's great seeing them again. Also that explains why there not with the empire (the chip they removed).
They actually still served the Empire for a while, even with their chips out. I mean, they didn't really have anywhere else to go.

Also, the Ewoks aren't the bad. They're, uh, actually kinda cool.

And they're certainly not a reason to dislike RotJ (the best prequel).
I think they're stupid, but to each his own. It's not like when I first saw the film, I had an issue with it, but I can look back on it now and say, "Yeah, I think that's a little silly." Like I said, VI and III are mostly equal to me.

V > IV > III > VI > I > II

Just my personal opinion. VI loses a lot because of well, Ewoks.

Try to pretend the Ewoks aren't there, and you will be fine with VI.
III and VI are equal to me, honestly. I didn't know which to put first, but I have more of an emotional connection to that one than VI, so I felt obligated. That list isn't really based so much on film quality, as it is how much I liked them. There's no doubt that II is the worst from a writing/storytelling perspective, though. Empire Strikes back will always be my favorite.
