The Flood / Re: For the Nerds Who Don't Watch ESPN (Star Wars)

Harrison Ford's goofy-looking old-ass face killed it for me.

I hate that he's in this movie--just for the sake of nostalgia pandering.
Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are both in it too. But for the story, considering the monumental nature of both the OT and what VII seems to be doing, it would make sense for them to be involved.
I gueeeessssss.

At any rate, I have high hopes for this... female character (name?), and whether she'll be able to top Mad Max for having the strongest female representation of 2015.
Come on, they have to be included in the new trilogy to some degree. They were such a massively important aspect of what shaped the Star Wars universe that it wouldn't make any sense not to still have their characters or, at least, influence, be included in the next three films. Especially considering that they're all still alive, and the only people left who really have any knowledge of the Jedi and Sith; they sort of have to be the teachers.

By the way, the name of Daisy Ridley's character is Rey.

Josh Holmes just confirmed the 9GB patch can be predownloaded starting Oct. 22.
This is only for digital downloaders, right?
I'd presume so since they already have it in their game library

Movie was okay, but I'll be damned if it wasn't one of my favorite setups/atmospheres I've ever seen in a film.

The Flood / Re: Gym workouts?
« on: October 20, 2015, 11:40:03 AM »
My routine:

Day 1: Chest/Triceps

4 Sets Incline DB Press - 10 Reps
4 Sets SkullCrushers - 10 Reps
4 Sets Bench Press - 8 Reps
4 Sets Tricep Pulldowns - 10 Reps
4 Sets Flat DB Press - 10 Reps
4 Sets Tricep Pushdowns - 10 Reps
4 Sets Incline Barbell Press - 10 Reps
4 Sets Ball Pushups - Until Failure

Day 2: Back/Biceps

4 Sets Weighted Pullups - 8 Reps
4 Sets Bicep Curls - 8 Reps
4 Sets Longbar Row - 10 Reps
4 Sets Barbell Row - 10 Reps
4 Sets Preacher Curls - 10 Reps
4 Sets Shrugs - 10 Reps
4 Sets EZ Curls - 10 Reps
4 Sets Seated Rows - 10 Reps

Day 3: Legs/Shoulders

2 Sets Squats (Warmup)
5 Sets of Squats - 5 Reps
4 Sets Overhead Press - 10 Reps
4 Sets Calf Extensions - 12 Reps
4 Sets Shoulder Press - 10 Reps
4 Sets Leg Curls - 10 Reps
4 Sets Lateral Raises - 10 Reps
4 Sets Lunges - 10 Reps
4 Sets Shoulder Press Machine - Until Failure

Day 4: Rest

Then I just start over again.

After my first and second days, I always finish off with some cardio by doing laps around my gym's track. I just gradually increase the amount of time I spend running to keep my heart healthy. I'm relatively new to doing cardio, but I know I've held off on it for too long and that I need to do it more regularly. Same goes for my rest day: No lifting, but I'll be doing cardio every day except when I train legs, because that would be suicide.

And no, I don't have a dedicated ab day, or really any abdominal isolation movements. Ab workouts are boring, and I don't care about them that much.

My girlfriend's parents are getting divorced, and this is going to be a horrendous, miserable year for her because of it. I want to do everything I can to comfort her, and make her happy, because I love her. But in this situation, that's something that'll be very difficult to do.

For anyone wondering, Maz Kanata was the one narrating the trailer.

I thought it was Leia, but a lot of people say it was her, instead.

The Jedi have only been gone from the galaxy for about 40 years at this point. There would be a wealth of evidence supporting their existence on the holonet due to them protecting and serving the republic for thousands of years and being involved in multiple galaxy spanning wars. Especially in the clone wars where you had thousands of them running around waving their jedi dicks in the air like they just don't care.

My assumption is that they want to play off of the OT where the history of the Jedi and Sith wasn't really gone into and thus allowed them to remain a somewhat mysterious entity, but the existence of the prequel trilogy ends up causing some major inconsistencies.
I'm not really going to have a big argument about the practicality of why people are so unfamiliar with the Jedi, Sith, and the Force in general. It's fiction. "Everyone would've seen them through the holonet!" Yeah, in the real world, but it's Star Wars. For whatever reason, not everyone seems to have access to that information so easily. Plus, in the new Lando comics, he speaks to an old librarian who studied and kept Jedi artifacts. He explained to Lando that once the Empire rose, his collections, data, and archives were either destroyed, or confiscated. The Empire lied about everything regarding the Jedi's rebellion after Order 66, so we know they're obviously very good at keeping the public ill-informed about what really goes on in war time.

On the topic of the trailer, this shit was so fucking awesome.

I don't know any more about the plot of the movie than I already did, and that's what trailers are suppose to do.

Also I have a question.

How the fuck do people forget that the Jedi and Sith are real in starwars? They've kind of been responsible for a lot of war, death, and suffering in the galaxy. They even played a significant part in the GCW with Vader being a very visible enforcer of the Empire and Luke being a prominent figure in the rebellion.
It's big galaxy. Even during the Clone Wars, when there were thousands of Jedi, they were very sparsely used, and were mostly assuming combat roles. Very rarely did the ever interact with citizens, so Jedi were still just rumors and eye-witness accounts for a large portion of the galaxy. In this case, it looks like Rey comes from a pretty isolated world (Jakku), where I'm sure it's just all stories and very little actual evidence of their existence. This is even more severe with the Sith, who most people didn't even know existed because, first, there were only two of them, and second, because they never publicly revealed themselves. There was an episode of the Clone Wars where Maul and his brother go on a raid and ransack a ship, and the survivors, when asked by Obi Wan, asked if they were just "Rogue Jedi." Most civilians have no clue that they even exist.

The supposedly deleted scene of Jar Jar dying is cut to make it look like he dies, but that's not what actually happens in the deleted scene. It's a fan-edit.

Discuss what would happen if we actually did come into contact with aliens.
This totally depends on what extent we can talk to them.

In this situation, pretending for a second that this really is some sort of dyson-sphere... solar power structure... thing, it's not like we'd be able to talk to them, or really have a decent means of letting them know we're here (Not for a long-ass time, at least). So it would be huge news for a few weeks, but let's face it, people would stop caring once developments on the news came to a halt.

A lot of people do this to push out that last dribble of piss, but I've never heard of anyone doing that while shitting lol
i dont understand how that could push out piss lol
Pressing on your gooch gets that last little bit of piss out for some reason. Like Das said, it has something to do with your prostate. I don't know, but ever since I discovered it, I've used it every time.
