Is it immoral that I pet my dog because they can't give consent, despite expressing pleasure after I do it?
And then they just come back so I can do it again? Why can't an animal give consent?

Can I just ask why you can't get consent from an animal?
Because that's, like, the only barrier between me thinking it could be okay, and me thinking it's never okay.
Verb: "Winy I just fucking told you."
Phenomenal, it didn't register well with me, and I'd like another explanation.

Aria, we just had like 20 pages of this on Bungle
Yeah but I've been sleeping and working all day
It's a silly discussion anyway-- anybody who thinks it's okay to fuck dogs isn't going to suddenly stop thinking so because someone said so over the Internet, and nobody who thinks it's batshit insane to duck dogs I'd going to have their mind changed.
I'm saying I don't think you should fuck dogs. For a multitude of reasons. I'm just struggling to find out why it's an automatically immoral process. But the best explanation I got was to kill myself by being lit on fire. So it looks like I'm not getting answers.

I've literally done nothing but express how much I don't condone fucking animals. It's just a really bizarre and admittedly interesting thought experiment, and that's just how I'm perceiving the logic of it. Everyone else is fucking flipping their shit for no good reason like I actually think it's healthy and okay to fuck dogs.

No. For the same reason that a small child can't give reasonably compelling forms of consent.
Fun fact: Animals aren't as smart as humans, and are therefore bereft of any rational judgment.
You insane motherfucking cunt.
If an animal can instinctively initiate the process that would indicate a desire to mate, then why is it immoral to bone the dog afterwards? Would it be immoral for another dog to bone them after that signal?
We have the conscious ability to realize that the dog is too stupid, relatively speaking, to give consent. Dogs don't.
Yes, you could argue that animals are "raping" each other in the wild, but there's no moral quandary, because they can't exactly help themselves. Humans can.
Fucking hell, this is pissing me the fuck off. Fucking degenerates. ALL of you.
I don't really care if it's pissing you off. I'm asking pretty reasonable questions, and not freaking out over the shock value of the topic. I'd expect you to actually be capable of acting similarly. I'm still not sure I agree that just because something isn't really capable of a full analysis of a situation doesn't mean it isn't capable of giving enough consent to agree to something like sex, where there really aren't negative consequences because A. The animal can't get pregnant B. The animal probably isn't going to be traumatized unless you pin the thing down and fuck it And in the case of B, if you did pin it down and literally rape it, then you'd have invalidated the entire idea of consent to begin with. So that issue is put down before it even comes into play.

winy thinks it's okay to fuck dogs
Not always, but it could be under certain conditions (I think, I'd definitely like to be proven wrong). Let it out, everyone. Let it out.

man arguing about philosophy is about one of the most useless things in the world considering its all pseudo and non empirical
How do you think people came up with laws and moral values.
They discussed the philosophical implications of them.
nothing in philosophy can be proven
Is this a joke

We understand more about astrophysics because we went to the moon; we didn't go to the moon because we already knew what it could teach us. Didn't know anyone really doubted this.

Determinism is some stupid shit tbh
No it ain't. It's probably true. It's just useless to make arguments from it because it doesn't matter either way.

If they're predetermined to commit crimes, then everybody else is predetermined to stop them.
But that's just a clever phrase I've heard used against the idea that criminals "Can't help it" because of determinism. As confusing of an idea as determinism can be, I really don't see how people come up with conundrums like this. Yeah, fundamentally, we might all just be predictable sacks of chemical reactions, but it doesn't seem like it. It feels like we're in control of our actions, so we might as well act accordingly.

A Thousand Suns is a fantastic album.
I still like a lot of Linkin Park's stuff, but I think this is such a unique collection of music that anyone can at least find something they like in it.
