A slave is a resource, but you don't think it's okay to have slaves.

Animals are resources just like trees.

Prove me wrong.
Nobody is doubting that animals can be used as resources. The issue is whether or not they are a mistreated. They're resources that are capable of feeling pain, misery, and discomfort, so we should take appropriate measures to ensure that those unpleasant feelings aren't inflicted onto them. Slapping the term "Resource" onto them doesn't somehow mitigate the immorality of causing them to pain for unjustified reasons.

Humans are animals.

Does this idea escape people sometimes?
Humans are also resources. You see this every day.
That's... Really not that relevant to this problem.

we're animals, but we're above the rest.

this is pretty obvious.
"Above the rest" in terms of intelligence and growth, no doubt, but where does this start giving us the right to inflict pain on animals for pretty piss-poor reasons? Especially when there are alternative food sources available, and the meat industry is bonkers retarded for the environment.

Anti-natalism is dumb as hell, in my opinion, but Verb's on-point with veganism and animal ethics.

Shit's appalling.

Eating animals is indefensible with current slaughterhouse methods and factory farm conditions. There are literally no ways anybody can possibly defend the amount of stress, pain, and mistreatment that animals go through in the agricultural industry because you like the taste of steak.

Veganism, or at least vegetarianism with strong legislation to deter abuse and animal discomfort, is the way of the future. I see a greater number of people adopting progressively more vegetarian diets all the time, and there's no doubt that trends indicate it's on the rise. We've got commercially available meat substitutes, which are only becoming higher and higher quality. Lab-grown meat will take off within the next two or so decades, and at that point, people won't have anything to complain about at all.

The only reason I can even remotely stomach the fact that I eat chicken at my university is because all farms our dining commons receive food from are local, and I can look into each individual farm's practices and regulations to see what's going on inside of them (Luckily, they're not complete shit). And I'm not proud that I eat chicken, but I'm happy that, at the minimum, I've stopped eating all red meat.

i don't smoke nearly as much as i used to, but i can still say that cannabis is an amazing plant

also, people who smoke pot =/= low life degenerates, i shouldn't have to point that out but with the ignorant nature of this forum i feel like i have to
But don't you know?

If you've ever used any drugs, even once, you're a retarded junkie whore. Once you experiment, there's no going back. Doesn't matter if you solve the energy crisis, send a probe to Pluto, pull a third world country out of economic instability, or make peace between two warring nations. You. Are. RETARDED.

No smart people have ever done drugs or gotten drunk, obviously.

I only smoke once every few weeks, if at all.

It's a fun feeling to chill with a few of your friends for one night and just get stupidly high, then laugh at literally everything that happens to you. The process of getting high isn't fun, and I'm not the biggest fan of the smell myself, but the actual state of getting cooked is pretty fun if you do it every once in a while.

Real though Al-Baghdadi should win.

This is about who has been most influential, not shilling for our favorite celebs.
People can be pretty stupid and will just see this as a glorification of him.

I don't think it's a good idea to give "Person of the Year" to the leader of ISIS.

What was I suppose to get out of that?
Hitler himself was a person of the year.

This has never been about glorification and the public understands that.
I'm aware that Hitler was the person of the year. I just think that some people might take it the wrong way.

After reading the post (Despite whoever wrote it not holding back on deepthroating Harlow, and I found it kind of irritating), I feel pretty bad for him. Actually, I feel awful for him; nobody deserves to have that done to them. Really unfortunate. Hope he's doing alright.

Is this the chick I think it is?

Carrie Fisher isn't gonna be a sex symbol like she was in ROtJ

Don't worry, her voice will keep that from ever happening again.
YouTube

Holy shit, I didn't expect that at all.

MAN that's a deep voice.

Old Family Guy episodes were funnier, but I still get a kick out of newer ones sometimes. My family loves to watch it together.

I'm not thrilled that they're making a new Star Wars movie, what was it, every year?

Why is that an issue? It's not like games, which are made by a single developer.
I don't want MCU 2.0

The anthology films have me worried.
