I have absolutely no idea what the exact numbers are, or how to find them.

But I probably spent the most time on Halo 3, followed by Reach. Then Red Dead, then GTAV maybe?

I have no clue, honestly.

I mean I'd just give the information to the right people to maximize good stuff.

Spending time with my girlfriend, chilling with my friends.

And that's about all I have planned, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Probably $25,000.

Maybe $30,000.

I just tried soy milk.

Pretty good stuff tbh lads

Same amount of protein as regular milk, too (That's all I care about).
Almond milk though.
The brands I've looked at all have like <1 gram of protein in them, though.

No good for me.

A lack of sapience in an animal doesn't stop it from being able to experience various degrees of comfort and satisfaction. A cow that's cramped up in a barn isn't going to be as happy as a cow that's free-range and able to experience a more natural life. If you're going to have cattle, it should be prioritized that they're allowed to roam and graze as they would in nature, to maximize their happiness.

As for the "I don't have an issue with killing an animal painlessly after it's lived a long life," I really don't have a massive objection to that, either. The problem is that the kind of killing described there doesn't reflect the actual practices of industrial farms. Animal comfort and health is sacrificed for the purpose of satisfying the demands of customers. It's about money, not ethics. And I take a strong stance against that mentality when it's applied to anything, personally.

And if that video on the chicken industry posted last night was true (Seemed plausible), it's really not the chicken farmers themselves that are the assholes in all of this. They want to raise happier, healthier, freer birds, but executives at companies like Tyson don't want to put up with the costs of maintaining an ethical system of raising poultry.

tfw really wanna be vegan but really wanna eat these taquitos.

Guess I'll just wait for that lab made chicken
They have "Beyond Meat" in some stores, but it's mad expensive :(

It's a plant-based protein that tries to emulate chicken and beef by mimicking their texture and taste. It's not perfect, but according to a lot of people, it's actually not that bad, and it does have a similar texture (Which, when it comes to meat, is the most important part, honestly).

Is there a God?

What was before the Big Bang, if anything?

How to achieve world peace?

Time to weigh in on this issue

Veganism is stupid lel
Not if you really want to stop mistreatment of farm animals.

Yeah, some of them might not get slaughtered, but they're still being kept in pretty piss-poor conditions.

1428
The site actually has been acting somewhat slow for me lately.

Explanation? It seems like only a recent problem.

How exactly are you planning on "Sinking" a giant piece of land?

That would just displace more water, and cause it to rise...

I'll take Being Canadian for 800, Alex
Uh, it very well could've been somewhere else?

Like... Northern Europe, or basically anywhere above the latitude where I live? I don't know the climates of every region on the planet off the back of my head, dude. "North" doesn't narrow it down too much.

Meat is healthy and there is literally nothing morally wrong with killing other animals for food
Then there'd be nothing wrong with killing you for food, right?
If a lion killed me, nobody would say it was morally wrong of the lion

However, the implications for humans are different lol
It's wrong to inflict suffering onto animals when there are alternative sources of food.

Care to enlighten me what plant based food I can eat up here through seven months of winter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

5 bucks for one cucumber.

Don't even get me started on other stuff.
I have no idea where you live...

Verby

Serious thought, so don't call me a retard

If life is just gonna keep being rather cruel for animals and such if humanity hypothetically forced itself to go extinct

Would it not be more productive in an anti-natalists mentality to make contributions towards technology, weaponry, and science so that, in the future, humans can just create a weapon that destroys all life on the planet?

I have to wonder what the thought process is behind the people who call for and design machines like that.

Like, why?

I will point out that I work in the meat industry and am required to kill the animals as humanely as possible, by snapping their necks.
..I don't believe you.

Dude I've said countless times that I am a chicken house operator.

I literally have to walk through the houses everyday, find the defective or dying chickens, and kill them.

I am a farmer, but a farmer within the meat production industry.
I feel like I definitely should have known this if it was true.

I'm skeptical and need proof.

No red meat for me anymore.

Still eat chicken.

Still eat fish.

Yes, I'm still an ass.

But I'm less of an ass than I was before.

The Flood / Re: how would you describe your work ethic
« on: December 08, 2015, 09:42:10 PM »
Pretty fantastic, in all honesty. When my work is done, I get it done as soon as possible without burning myself out. My World Politics final exam was assigned like three weeks ago, it's due the 10th, and I've had it done for the vast majority of that time. When I have work looming over me, it's all that I can think about, so I really have to get it done, otherwise I won't be in an optimal mood.
