Serious / This right here actually makes me ashamed of being a male
« on: September 21, 2014, 07:27:31 PM »
Warning very graphic pictures of women that have been severely burned with acid by their husbands/fathers.

This was originally written in my private group The Hideout on August of last year and was never shared outside of it until now. I kept it a Hideout exclusive for so long, but now I think everyone here should know about this. I'm aware that this is about a year old, but that doesn't change the fact about society today honestly.

I don't think this is a misandrist blog or post. This right here is what actual feminism should fight against. This is wrong. It really baffles me how people in general are just cruel and really really screwed in the head like this, but I have come to the inevitable obvious point that we men are the ones that are truly fucked up.

I'm serious. How many crimes against humanity do you see committed by a woman? Probably not as much. Usually men believe it or not would do this kind of bullshit. So anyway, these men have burned their wives or daughters with acid, and I mean they just straight up threw sulphuric acid at their faces, causing fatal injury to them, blinding them, and hell making them hardly recognizable. A lot of these women can't even afford surgery to try to at least get something back so they remain this way, and for many there is nothing they can do to undo what has happened to them. Why do these men do this? Because these women wanted to end their relationship with them or disagreed with them over some argument or maybe because someone didn't want their cousin to be whistled at and checked out by other guys, and worst of all, perhaps a father not wanting a girl in the family.

Now as you can see, this appears to be common in middle eastern countries, and yes that is still wrong to do no matter what. The middle east has issues, whether you like it or not that's a fact. They have to evolve. They must, at least in terms of treating each other. However, if you indeed viewed the article, you will notice one story in particular, if you didn't get that far, that's fine, I'll quote it here for you:

Quote
UK

Her lover did it. Richard Remes threw sulphuric acid on Patricia Lefranc. Her nose and eyelids were melted away, she lost sight in one eye and hearing in one ear, she also lost a finger. She came close to death, as the corrosive substance nearly burned through her heart and lungs. The horrific attack physically and emotionally scarred her for life. What was her crime? She ended her relationship with Richard Remes, a married man.

Fucked up isn't it? Yeah, that happened in the freaking UK, so it's not just middle eastern countries either, and a lot of the same shit happens here too. Also pay attention this quote at the very end of the article:

Quote
We are more abused, harassed, exploited, kidnapped, raped, trafficked, murdered by our lovers, husbands, fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins, friends, or men we know well than by strangers. Whatever happens to us, we never stop loving men.

That sentence in particular doesn't paint a very good picture of us. By us I mean the male gender in this case. This is absolutely completely unacceptable. I don't understand just what drove these men to do what they did. Perhaps the way they were raised? Honestly that's no freaking excuse for doing these actions. You know if you really think about it hard enough, I'm starting to think that maybe those misandrist are totally right. Of course not every man is this insane but apparently the majority is.

Admit it boys, we suck because of these assholes. Our society has allowed this to happen. Why do you think most women are intimidated by men? Believe it or not even when I go on my walks, sometimes I even have women avoiding contact with me on the same side walk because there is that off-chance that I appear dangerous, especially when I don't shave. It doesn't make me feel too good about myself. At the exact same time however, there are men that I even avoid because they could also have that off-chance of being dangerous, and the same goes with some women to. However it's mostly men. Why? Because I know what kind of animal we are, this article pretty much defines how screwed up we really are, at least most of us according to the article.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not like this. I would never throw acid at any human or animal. Not only is it highly uncalled for but it's just flat out wrong. The worst part about this whole thing is that these men most certainly believe that a woman they're married to or hell any woman that they know or even love are their property. That right there bothers me. People (especially women) should never be considered as some object or something that someone owns.

Now I know that there are both men and women that are fucked up in the head and commit all sorts of crimes, humanity has proven that already. However if you look carefully, a majority of crimes that are committed in this world.... is mainly done by men. Even though seeing stuff like this really puts me down quick and actually makes me think less of myself just because of my sex/gender, I try to be the best human being I can possibly be, the best man, so I can set out an example and maybe I could change the mind of a misandrist one day if I really try.

Come on men, we have to be better than this. All of us. I can assure everyone here that stories like this are enough for my heart to stop beating. Just looking at the graphic photos of this article was enough to really slow my heart and pulse down. Guess you can say my heart sank.

The male gender obviously needs to evolve it seems, and if not, then sadly this will keep happening until the day humans are extinct. No one will learn anything from this and history will just keep repeating itself. One thing for sure however is that humanity in general needs a lot of work before anyone can call us civilized or hell evolved for that matter.

That was pretty stupid.

If you think that's stupid, I've seen things that will make you question reality.

You're such an uncreative bastard.

Holy shit, that ad is kickass.

I know right?

Here is another badass ad that never aired for the 360. WHY DID IT NOT AIR?!? DAMN YOU MS!

Compare that to the Xbone.
Why was that banned? It wasn't even that bad.

I blame the anti-gun nuts that say "THAT PROMOTES VIOLENCE!"

The other commercial for the Original Xbox got banned too.

People are pussies.

Gaming / Re: Halo: MCC Info Thread ( Gungoose Gameplay Update )
« on: September 21, 2014, 05:18:55 PM »
The Gungoose looks kinda overpowered.
It does look more powerful than the ghost, but it's still balanced due to the movement of it. The ghost is able to spin around in a circle in the same spot unlike this thing which doesn't have that field of movement. It's limited to wheels which means in order to attack something behind it it has to turn around which takes time. The ghosts on the other hand can simply slow down and do a tight turn. The other thing is that this is far less stable than the ghost at high speeds going over things.
I wonder if this is being added to all of the games in MCC. 343i has a unique opportunity here; they can inject whatever they'd like into the maps before launch and it'll load just fine since everyone will have the updated/modded .map files.

EDIT: extra armor could be added as well.

If the Bungie Chest doesn't show up in Halo 3 because of this, that's gonna blow.
I don't know if they were able to increase how well the engine could handle resources, but I do know that one of the reasons Bungie didn't have the Flame head on for everyone was because the fire was pretty draining to render.

But yeah, they should have had the foresight to make enabling it possible at least.

That's a pretty lame excuse because the game ran fine on Bungie Day 2010. Especially with 16 people wearing the Bungie chest. No lag, no problem.

Flame texture =/= Frame rate drop.

I found out the real reason why they didn't release it to everyone because they didn't want everyone's Septogon emblem to be replaced with "Bungie" as a flair because it can't be turned off, and according to Urk. They used custom code to enable it on a timer for Bungie day, and supposedly they feared that the game would break if they permanently released it because they wouldn't be able to fix it after they lose the rights if a problem came up because MS sucks donkey dick for owning the IP rights.

It's always been possible to enable flames, and people who have Jtagged already know how to unlock it without having the "Bungie" flair interfere with it either.

I know this isn't easy shit, but I rather have a risk taken that can create compile errors for Halo 3 because I'm certain it's not that hard to undo the changes.

I've broken my own games, but I've managed to always fix them somehow. It's all part of learning.

Edit: Actually, there is ANOTHER reason why it's not released. Rendering has nothing to do with it. If you enable the flames and you pick up Camouflage, you're still exposed. It changes the gameplay for good.

I wouldn't mind having it because I don't like Camouflage anyway. It's hasn't really helped me anyway.

Only problem is that you can't host your own server unless you're a paying member, which I no longer am. Maybe I'll renew that soon.

That is lame. Btw, I have issues with my internet right now, so I don't know if I would be able to play today. It is butt slow.

Besides, I really should work on my scripted game review for Whacked.
I'm gonna try and sleep soon anyways, jetlag messed up my sleeping schedule badly and I'm hoping to fix it in the first week of classes.

Good luck. I played some Quake today. I beat the bots on normal. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Despite all of the obvious problems with the game, I am still enjoying it. The lack of a story and the repetitiveness is annoying, but at least the gameplay is entertaining.

I somewhat agree. It's not a bad game, but at the same time it's not really a good game either. It's more of a "ehhh" game.

Pussies afraid to beat their child were raised by pussies themselves. It's a never-ending cycle of pussies who can't properly raise children.
My mom hit me as a kid.

I'm not going to hit my kid.

I have no respect for my mother because instead of teaching me to be reasonable and showing me why I shouldn't do things, she just hit me.

That's because you were a little shit. That's why.

That name sounds familiar. Has Noelle used it before?

Pretty sure I was once called a thief by Noel Kannagi on Bungie during that whole dark script drama. Eventually I got an apology though so it's all good.
Of course. I called you a thief on Facebook as well on one of Smi's posts. Remember that? :P
Actually, I remember that and everything. Hah.

You fucking people. -_-

Dark script drama?
Were you stealing my shit?
Or was it Viltre's?
Viltre's old dark script.

I didn't steal it for fucks sake. Stealing it would be taking Viltre's script offline from userstyles, reuploading it without credit on a private website, and charging people money to use it. That would be fucking stealing!

I doubt my computer could run it.
Quake offers some of the most highly customisable graphical settings in pretty much any video game. I'm pretty sure my 10 year old laptop could run the game if I turned down the graphics enough.

Example of some extremely low graphical settings:

My piece of shit computer from 2005 couldn't run this thing on the lowest settings. Hence I made the upgrade to join the master race.

Quake Live is on Steam. And with the recent update to make the game a little more accessible and noobfriendly, none of you have any excuse not to play it.

If you play it with me, I'll play it. Do we have a deal?

You see why Always ONLINE doesn't work Xbone fanboys?

This is why I am against DRM and this is why I bought a digital version of the game. Otherwise, if I owned a hard copy of the game, the most I could use it for is a frisbee for my future non-existing dog!

Just imagine having that DRM problem on the entire fucking console!
Is bitch about the Xbox One all you do? I have already went over with you why you are wrong, give it up already, shit.

And I already went over as to why YOU are wrong and why DRM doesn't work on consoles.

But.... I digress.

Let's not argue. Here, a truce flag.

That is a bullshit response though. Selling an incomplete game so they can fuck more money out of you later on should never be tolerated, it ruins the gaming industry.

Agreed. It makes it very hard for me to want to work in a AAA studio. Sometimes I feel like I'm building up my portfolio for nothing.
