Also, it's confusing to me why they don't just patch the game with all the restored content in it.

Who would care? Why do I have to mod the game?

Because as an example MS doesn't give two shits to have DRM armor in a 10 year old video game accessible, and I'm someone who likes to earn armor.

I think you know what I'm implying with this so I'm gonna stop there. Hate all you want, its hard coded into the game so its not exactly a "mod" mod, but I will say this. I do like user created maps. PC does that.

I mainly prefer simple shit. Not autistic texture swapping. that's gay.

fuck that, 2014 was horrible and I really couldn't really care less about going back just to change my posting history on a fucking backwater gaming forum and be forced to endure the IRL shit all over again

You clearly didn't pay attention to the OP.

The only thing that would flash to 2014 would be Sep7agon itself, not IRL.

I think the real question here is why have you betrayed Flee and why don't you watch his stream?

Stay on topic please.
Why don't you want to talk about it?

Wrong thread to talk about it in, start your own or PM me.
I demand an answer. Flee deserves that much.

Either stay on topic and post something constructive to the thread topic, or I'm just going to stop responding to you all together itt

deci reupload the challenger 1v1 for gods sake

Stay on topic.

pretty sure the vast majority of people here either actively support modding or don't really care one way or another what people do with their games

I mean I only add lore-friendly mods to stuff like Fallout but I don't really care what other people do, even if I don't really get why you would do it

Fallout is cool for that. I know its not the same exactly but its at least a step in the right direction to make modding more mainstream.

I'm just glad that modding communities are still a thing. I mean Custom Edition for Halo CE is still going strong for instance.

I don't think this community is very anti-modding. The only person who really is that way is Verb and that's because he has a very narrow view of playing a game and enjoying an artistic medium only as it was intended by the creator. Other than that I can't really think of anyone else who is opposed to it.

Oh and there actually are legal limits to some kind mods aside from those that damage services.

Then Verbatim should frown upon 343 Industries for making the anniversary maps for Halo Reach, while 343 was legally in contract for that task, it still doesn't mean its the creator of Reach.

So if its only Verbatim, why don't others partake in discussions of mods or have threads of there own? Do they not care?

Because honestly, who gives a shit what Verbatim thinks? He's 1 user, and he's entitled to his own opinion.
I don't think Verb really gives a shit about DLC for an 8 year old game.

Yet he gives a shit about modding a 15 year old console, a 10 year old game and whatever else he would like to take a dump on with glee.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Verbatim.

So, what's the reason you don't talk about any modding?

I'm not talking about aimbot cheating. I'm talking about content creation in an existing game, or simple mods that allow you to access in game content that is normally unobtainable, or a new way to play or explore an existing game.

I actually wish to post more threads discussing mods in games including but not limited to the Halo series, but with the amount of negative feedback that spikes from it, its rather discouraging to even try.

Why is this? Why is it wrong to mod anything? Unless the sole intent of a mod is to destroy or damage a profitable service or hardware, its not illegal. Yes it breaks the TOS with services like Xbox Live and PSN, but again, its not against the law.

I understand why Bungie will remove and/or ban you for threads regarding ANY modding with the Halo IP or even access to ANY beta they worked on unlocked, let alone modding discussion in general being a big no no, but I don't understand why Sep7agon is against this.

So, what gives? What's the deal?

Literally nothing would change. :P

Another thing I would probably do is PM you about being in the News Staff at the time.

Sadly the news forum is dead now, which sucks. I'd love to create a Sep7agon Weekly Update but nobody wants that.

Here is the premise. A flash on your screen happens, this flash only applies to Sep7agon. Its 2014 again, at least on Sep7agon. Its starting out new. Nobody remembers or knows of you, you make an account and join for the first time. Nobody is banned yet, and no drama has yet to unfold.

You alone are the only person who remembers what when on at Sep7agon for the last 4 years, if you have said or done anything stupid, this would be your real second chance to not do it again. If you haven't done anything and have achieved dank status, continue on with 2014 Sep7aogn exactly as you did 4 years ago. If you want to get out of 2014, hit F5 to refresh and go back to present day Sep7agon.

What do you do?

>free games
>every month
>just downloaded Knack and Rime
>for free
>and i get to keep them
>for march, we're getting the new r&c and bloodborne

like i knew you could just get games, but i didn't know you could KEEP them forever

that's the best shit i've ever seen

and people are STILL pretending PS+ is bad LMFAO what a fucking joke

Oh yeah, you can keep them for as long as you like, so long as you keep giving Sony $50 a year for it, because once you decide to let that shit expire, you lose all the free shit you got from PS+

It isn't bad, but I do like Games for Gold on the Xbox 360 better because you actually get to keep them for good regardless if you stick with having Gold later on or not.

But overall, I prefer the Steam Summer Sale, though I haven't really bothered in getting any new shit since new games aren't really appealing to me anymore.

Something that you guys probably do not know about me and that probably will be denied by Harlow himself, but it is the truth.

Back in 2008-09, pre Jaythenerdkid days, I actually did talk to and PM Harlow .

I recall being invited to Join HRG (Harlow's Royal Guard) and Sapphire later on down the road. While I personally did not get banned from the group Sapphire, I left without notice.

Once I started disagreeing with Jay, that's pretty much when Harlow declared me to be a retard and denied any past alliance.

Sometimes I wish I could just go back to those days, start fresh, such as when Harlow, though he was not too happy with doing it, did accept my invite to join the private group I created simply known as Decimator's Hideout before it was The Hideout, and he did help populate it with activity.

Biggest mistake was nuking that version of the group. I honestly do wonder where I'd be had I taken a different path and just stayed out of certain shit, but what's done is done. Nothing can be changed and people will never let it die down for as long as this crowd is alive.

Hell I remember when he used to be known as harlowOO197.

Just to throw my opinion/experiences in, neither of the experiences I had in Sapphire were that great. The first was on Bungie, and then later on their offsite. On Bungie I got banned for respectfully disagreeing with Jay. That's just outright what it was. I still have the screenshot. I wasn't rude, I wasn't inflammatory in any way, I simply expressed a different opinion and I got the ban hammer. I believe this was 2013, but I'm not certain. It was before Sep7agon, that's all I know for sure.

They could've taken the opportunity to "educate" me for being ignorant or whatever, but they didn't. Jay exploded at me for daring to say that the news was focusing way too much on race, and the reaction was an immediate ban because I dared to disagree with Harlow's little princess.

Second experience was on an offsite, under a different name because I didn't want to get treated any differently if they happened to recognize me. Jay was gone, and I wasn't banned. I just stopped posting. In both experiences Sapphire was not a welcoming place, though it definitely pretended to be. They've always seemed to have this huge ego about themselves where they seem to think they're much cooler than they really are, and other than the long ban list I really think this is the source for why so many people hate them. This community is more cliquish than any other I've poked my head in, and the echo chamber effect makes it hard to want to stay around when you're already an outsider being new, and having dissenting opinions can make people more distant and even hostile towards you. They claim to be open and receptive to people they don't agree with but this simply hasn't been my experience. They will try to make you feel like you're either a horrible or stupid person.

So there ya go. That's my two cents.

I second this shit. They're douche canoes, and honestly, I'm glad that that I don't hear from Harlow anymore.
