hope the link works

threw that together with some of the suggestions ITT (i7/970 etc) but the rest is pretty much chosen off review tier and best guesses

price estimate on that isn't gonna be right either because there is already a hundred quid saved by buying the CPU/GPU off newegg so eh

thoughts/revisions?

I would swap 2 things. Motherboard would be Gigabyte brand instead of Asus and I'd swap MSI with Nvidia personally. Otherwise you have a pretty decent setup.
I'm quite fine with any switches, whatever ends up with a better PC at the end of it.

What would be the difference between an MSI and a Nvidia 970? I thought it was all nvidia anyway?

Okay there is a mishap on my part. I mean EVGA for the long run since MSI is also an Nvidia series. Apparently EVGA has better aftermarket support. Mine is an EVGA  Nvidia 550ti.

I'll leave this up to you to decide since some say MSI is better than EVGA and vice versa.

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/572726/-which-is-better-quality-evga-or-msi-nvidia-geforce-gtx-760/

As for the motherboard, I do recommend Gigabyte, but I haven't used Asus, in fact I've never even heard of that brand of a motherboard, but I'm biased so... :P

EVGA cards are usually more expensive, and they do supposedly have better customer support

that said you'll only really need customer support if there's something wrong with your card

I'm also surprised you haven't heard of ASUS, they're a pretty big name for laptops, GPUs and motherboards especially, and they're pretty high up on customer support ratings

other than that no GPU will be particularly different from any reseller, ASUS, Palit, Zotac, EVGA, Gigabyte, they'll all perform identical

also have a look at the GPU coolers if you're not planning to have any watercooling (which is probably not suitable for your budget), you'll either get a blower or open-air, open-air is generally quieter and better at keeping your GPU cool, blowers are usually loud but overall the computer will be cooler on the inside as it also acts as an outtake

Water cooling would be risky, but I do have the ports to set that up.

just as important as your sound.
no, like seriously no. i doubt psy is a huge music enthusiast, the motherboards on-board sound shall suffice

Alright well if he wants to later on he can always add one.

It really depends on what you're going to do with it. The way I see it, your processor and graphics card and RAM are just as important as your sound. You're gonna want an Intel i7 Quad Core for gaming. If you're going to do a lot of rendering, do what I did and go with 16GB of RAM. I have 1TB HDD and I plan on upgrading my Nvidia 550ti Graphics card to a 960 possibly in the near future.

I had this PC since 2012 and it still really good, it runs Windows 10 without any issues. My last computer even with upgrades had trouble running Windows 7.

I'd recommend you browse PC part picker or Newegg if you're going to build one from the ground up. If you don't have the time to build like I didn't, you can always get one pre built and modify it later on yourself.

If I get this following job, I'm about to have 4 jobs total overall in my life, only difference is this one isn't a minimum wage job and its not retail.

It's not that people aren't on your wavelength so much as the entire dating scene is full of people so afraid of showing emotion that they try and keep things as casual as possible to avoid scaring others off, with parties being a good environment to play the game. Y'know, that whole 'wait this exact amount of time to text back' shebang? It kind of results in people just associating with each other without involving much of their personal lives so no real connection is never formed.

It'll go a long way in the big picture of your social department if you get comfortable communicating openly with others, but I understand perfectly how hard it can be. There's a big step between pseudocommunity and a genuine one.

Agreed, I guess all I can do really is keep my fingers crossed that I'm not being used again.

You just need to put yourself out there

Were it so easy, especially in this place.

You need to transcend basic human nature man, you don't need a partner.

We have yet to figure out how to tackle complete loneliness. If there weren't other people around we would lose our minds.

You need a waifu.

If I wanted a pillow as a GF I could just use the pillow on my bed, and no that isn't the same as a real person.

Yeah, I can definitely see you winding up alone too :/

I don't need your pity Jive.

Make an effort to be surrounded by people. Go from there.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem very sociable.

No you're pretty much correct. I'm an introvert. I have been making progress with some classmates I've known for awhile and even hung outside of school with them, but still. I'm not that sociable of a person, and yet I try to be.

Honestly I'm happy for them. Makes me feel happy in return. Not much happiness in this world.

A: lower your standards, don't expect some female copy of you.
B: go for guys instead.

Take either suggestion as needed.

I already have pretty low standards as it is. I go any lower and that's pretty much full retard level.

I'm not into guys and I never will be into guys. I'm only romantically interested in the opposite sex.
So if you were a Girl, you would be into guys? ...

No. if I was a girl I'd still be into girls.
Wrong, according to you " I'm only romantically interested in the opposite sex", So if you were a girl...

If I was a girl my line would have been "I'm only romantically interested in the same sex." I love girls dude.

There is no predetermined destiny. We are all the architects of our own fate and it is up to us to take the matters of our lives into our own hands, understand that what happens to us is the result of our own choices, learn from our past mistakes, and create a better life for ourselves and those around us.

However, fundamentally, you cannot accomplish this with a lack of resolve.

True.

You should go furry

No.

It's okay fam, I do too.  I've already accepted that I'm going to be my mother.

oh.

I just want a qt3.14 guitar playing gf to start a pop punk band with
But alas, Allah has forsaken my calls.

Ye briefly stayed at the yearly times square event about it..

Saw some armenian family friends there and spoke to a group of Kurds that were prostesting as well

Kool shit fam, Turks had thier own mini protest too. Bit of tension in the air

Spoiler

Yeah until there's recognition and justice, the protests really aren't going to stop. Out of all of the Armenians when it comes to this day, I'm the most tame about it really. I don't go to these protests because in a way, I've already given up. This will probably be the last time I also make a thread about it here too since its not really something anyone wants to discuss.
I mean I'm all for talking the history and about how Turks are the worst thing to happen to Europe and Asia Minor, but honestly there isn't much to say about the genocide itself. It happened, it was awful, it inspired Hitler, and denialism is a major component of the Turkish government's claim to legitimacy.

I see.

Maybe this is just my low self esteem kicking in and talking, but I feel like I'm not going to have a future with anyone. Nobody wants me anyway, I'm not that important to anyone. Pretty sure I was destined to be alone from the beginning.

In this day and age its just hard to find a girl that's in tune with similar tastes and interest. Everyone these days just loves to party and get drunk and that just isn't me fam. That just isn't me. Granted I enjoy the hell out of concerts but parties and booze isn't my thing at all.

I would never pull a Roman and go to a bar though, lol.

But yeah, in this day and age, I feel like there is no right girl or ideal girl and that she just doesn't exist. :/
