I'm a pretty shitty programmer. I could try to learn all I want. I'll never fully comprehend it. I've had the same problem with most math past the basic stuff.

I don't know how to code very well. That and I tend to find coding tedious. I'm more so visual oriented rather than mathematical.
I'm terrible at math and have very little interest in it (one of the reasons I changed from my engineering degree). Coding is about logic.
As we discussed on Discord, I'll give W3 schools a shot.

You can. The Student version of autodesk Maya is free, and I'm sure there are plenty of tuts out there on YouTube for the basics. I actually learned 3D character animation in school.

Yes it does, I would use Maya at school on a Mac. http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/mayaUse this to make an account and sign up, then choose your OS and version, you get each version for free for 3 years, and there are new versions out each year.

Environment Artist in games. Texturing, skyboxes, that kind of stuff.
That seems like a very detailed oriented job. Are you familiar with doing that kind of stuff?
Yeah
I'm a sucker for detail when it comes to map editing programs (Stuff like forge or even FO4 settlements), and I've been using photoshop to create textures for materials for a number of years. Now I'm teaching myself blender so I can start wrapping textures to actual models.
Of course, I say models meaning stuff like grass or trees or the pretty planet in the background of a corridor shooter. Not as much guns and cars, that's prop artists. It kind of annoys me when people complain about skyboxes looking fancy and the gameplay being bd, saying all the time went into skyboxes, because skybix stuff is generally pretty easy to do as it's purely how pretty it needs to be where level design and whatnot have a lot more stuff that needs to be considered.
That's really impressive! I'm not sure what a skybox is, but the environment is pretty damn important when it comes to games. I honestly think it can make or break a game, but then again I enjoy aesthetics.
Skybox is basically in most modern engines a large dome around the entire level, with either one big animated texture that's an animated gif formatted properly or using 3D elements parented with an existing image (ie an airplane flying) or where it got its name from it used to be a large cube that would have seamless textures on all 4 sides so there wouldn't be any creases.

Well... they're not, I'm not subhuman at all.
But I dunno. I've lost a lot of passion lately.
It's okay Deci things will look up you just gotta keep trying.
Its just amazing how I've wanted to be in the process of making games in someway since I was 18, then I get my break and learn it for 3 years, only to have my own college tell me its not a transferable thing and to pick another major. Besides, I think being a CNC operator would actually fit my skills better. Dreams tend to die unfortunately. Not everyone gets to do their dream, and sometimes you end up outgrowing dreams.
