Also, I was under the impression you wanted to set up a sort of "gym leader" type deal on here where others could challenge the mono-type teams. Well, yes and no. It's basically gym leaders vs. gym leaders. We all specialize in one type and the goal is to just beat as many other gym leaders as possible. I guess you could say, whoever makes it in the top four get to become the "Elite 4".
Oh, I'll throw this idea here for now.

People have to make a team to beat all eight, like the games.
But on the trainer's team, there must be one starter and no legendaries. Also, the team first picked by the trainer is what they have to use throughout the battles, or they'll just be at a constant large advantage. I like that, but I think the top four is better. Goes with the Elite 4, and we only have twelve players anyway (which is actually double than what I had anticipated, so I'm quite happy with the player turnout thus far)

They all have 5 perfect IVs (rather than 6) and 510 EVs total (rather than 252 in each stat, which would total 1,512). They're legal, but they're hacked. You see what I'm saying?
I'm kidding, the last time we battled all my pokemon were hacked too lol I just got a power save around xmas. The game won't let you use pokemon without legal stats
And you can't exactly hack when we battled on showdown >.>
Oh lol. I was thinking about getting Powersaves, but: 1. I have the digital version 2. I'm scared my game will corrupt and I'll have to start from scratch

After a battle ends, you have the option to save the replay.

Also, consider inviting some people to spectate your match. Not only is it more fun, but in case you forget to save your replays, someone else might have remembered. If no one remembers to get the replays, whatever--just tell me what the final score ended up being ("2-0 in my favor", "1-2 in his favor"), and that'll work fine too.
It just makes it easier for me to authenticate the results if I actually have, you know, proof.

It doesn't take that long to be honest. That team I used against Ty just now was built 5 minutes before we battled.
bruh I'm tryna build another team (like ev IV moveset whole shebang build)
So I have a legit shiny charizard I want to use because shiny chharizard.
So far Im thinking
Mega Charizard Y (standard set)
Starmie for spins
Scarfed Sylveon w/ hyper voice
Possibly porygon 2 cuz Iberius has a tanky AF build I'll steal
What else do I need/should I use. Some type of physical attacked for sure
A Ground-type would be really nice to have since Charizard and Starmie are both weak to Electric-type attacks and it also resists Rock-type attacks that Charizard is weak to. A Fighting-type would also be good for taking out any Tyranitars that will inevitably switch into your Charizard and it also resists Dark-type moves that Starmie is weak to. To top it all off, a Steel-type is good for resisting Ice-type attacks that your Ground-type will take and it's just a Fairy slayer.
