My friend has this really fucking annoying Mega Steelix with Rest/Curse/Heavy Slam/ Sleeptalk

It pisses me off

Any recommendations on how to fuck its shit?
Literally any Fire type with a strong SpA stat and a special Fire move.

The key to a good competitive Pokemon team is to be unpredictable and avoid using Pokemon that everyone and their mother uses.

Tell that to the VGC players who all top tournaments with the exact same team

Literally every single one of those people is using Landorus-T. Fuck that thing. Fuck that thing so hard. One of the most overused and irritating motherfuckers ever.
^
Fucking hate landorus
I have it on the majority of my teams :^)

Does CK still use this website? He's the best here at Pokemon by far
I haven't played competitive Pokemon in at least 7 months, I'm pretty useless right now for advice and tips.

So basically, I've compiled a list of all the players (that I know of) we have here and a picture of their main, I think it would be really cool to have in the OP (even if it has to be in a spoiler itself to prevent the OP from being huge) so you can just copy and paste this:

Players:
1.
CK97
2.
Verbatim
3.
Rocketman287
4.
RadicalClass32
5.
Luis
6.

When I get to higher %, dthrow is your best option even if I do DI because I still float there. You can follow up with an uair or bait an airdodge and go for Vanish.

Ryu is looking to be a top 5 character right now and I know you like Street Fighter so...
yeah, the uair bait into vanish is one of my favorite things to do--i just have a bad habit of overusing things once i get them to work once, you know what i mean

also, ryu? really? even with his recovery?
interesting
Yeah, people have been getting amazing results with him (Trela and 9B most notably). Ryu's so good that top players are starting to have a pocket Ryu (6WX, False). I don't think his recovery is that bad considering he has the Tatsumaki for horizontal movement and he can still use Shoryuken for vertical movement.

like, my first instinct when i'm against an in-your-face-at-all-times type opponent is to start grabbing them, but i mean

- her pummel is bad
- sheik's up-throw is useless, afaik
- forward/back-throw only leads into bouncing fish, which isn't good enough, and you can just air-dodge it anyway
- down-throw is the best option, obviously, because it leads into uair, but only if you forget to DI, which... you won't

and if you DI after the down-throw, my only other option is to attempt a fair chain, but i mean
...air-dodges.

maybe i need to find a new character
Sheik's fthrow to Bouncing Fish is a true combo, I can't airdodge if you do it correctly.

When I get to higher %, dthrow is your best option even if I do DI because I still float there. You can follow up with an uair or bait an airdodge and go for Vanish.

GGs, but yeah I've been told I have a big problem of being impatient >_>

Yeah I was randoming.
right

so what exactly is the best strategy against greninja, anyway

obviously i need to work on bad air-dodging habits, and my execution, but i mean
in terms of the match-up, i just don't really know what to

there were at least two or three occasions where you literally interrupted my rapid jab with your own, somehow
Get in his face. Not kidding. Greninja's out-of-shield game is complete ass since his standing grab is frame 14, making jab my only answer to relieve pressure.

Counters don't "activate" per se right as you press the button. Counters activate at around frame 8 so the animation will occur 8 frames after pressing the input.

Shit if I knew that was your last game I wouldn't have gone Lucina

I wouldn't mind that either. There's certain characters where grabbing really is retarded or braindead (Luigi and Mario to name a few).

Watch your airdodges
it's so unintuitive not to, though

"don't dodge to avoid attacks"

like

that's the thing about smash that i hate the most
Sometimes you have to, but you did it every single time you were in the air. Every. Single. Time. A good player is going to catch on to that and punish you for it. I figured out when you had a tendency to airdodge and punished it with a charged fsmash or Shadow Sneak.

Lucario
Im terrible at Smash tho
Kamicario
Day

Those are the two best Lucario players at the moment.
What do you think of LoF Nakat?

I think he's the best Fox player in Smash 4. Or REALLY high up there >.>

Also saw the best Pikachu player in a twitch stream 2 nights ago. Kept spiking people with the down-b lightning : O

Bit of a prick though, glad he lost
NAKAT's good, but he uses mostly Ness and just has Fox as a pocket. He hasn't gone far with Fox from what I can remember.

The best Fox is between Larry Lurr and Megafox.
