Personal Statements are probably the worst part for applying to a University.
You almost always sound like a pretentious twat who's lifelong ambition has been to do the same thing as thousands of other applicants. It was almost tempting to just put a blunt and bullshit free one in but in the end I didn't have to do one anyway lol.
Reading some of the medical application ones made me laugh.
There is literally no way in hell they are genuine, these people make themselves out to be gods in human form who are able to not only complete all teh GCSEs and 12 A Levels before finishing Middle school but are also able to have built a school in nepal, cured a disease and climbed everest while they were solving world hunger.
/Bitter about the whole thing.

So not like Shogun 2 where you can put a hundred hours into a campaign and still lose because realm divide and the computer is a bastard, but a game where the final level is scripted to end in failure?
FUCK YEAH! I love stories that end like that.
Fucking realm divide ._. Luckily for me, I already had the entire of southern Nippon under my Shimazu/Satsuma boots so it was just a matter of advancing forwards and blockading two chokepoints with massive fleets <.< FOTS is a bitch though, every fucker starts rebelling the minute you build them a factory farm to stop them from starving ._______________.

I'm not talking about dying and respawning or losing in game cash and items, but a game where you can just flat out lose at the end.
Some strategy games are like that, where you can just end up wiped out by the AI but I mean more along the lines of a story driven game.
Take Halo for example, for an alternate timeline that would never happen, Chief fails to stop the rings from firing and wiping out all life in the galaxy. Everybody dies and it's game ogre. The only similar game I can think of, that would allow you to 'lose' is Mass Effect. If you choose anything other than Synthesis, you lose. But it's not so much of a defeat as a pyrrhic victory, I think it would be interesting if there was another ending where the Reapers wipe everyone out completely, but that's more of an optional ending caused by you sucking shit at the game. (I don't think it's really possible to lose properly) But say that the canon ending for a game, like Halo, ended with a complete failure for humanity.
Rambling aside, if there was a game that you know you lose in, would you still play it? Or would you avoid it? (Alternatively, can you think of any games that end like that?)
I can vaguely think of Spec Ops: The Line, which is certainly a game that you lose just by playing it <.<

I helped Yes Man my first playthrough, then Mr House, then the NCR every time after. I have never done Caesar though, I cannot bring myself to do it when I see people being crucified and see slaves hauling stuff around his stupid fort. I have to go kill that bitch immediately.
I struggle with that too <.< Whilst crucifixions are fine by me, the whole slavery thing isn't exactly something I tolerate. My first playthrough was for the Legion because Vulpes is one cool cat, but apart from any moral qualms, the game is really heavily biased towards the NCR. So many of the quests, vendors, companions and areas and loot becomes unavailable by siding with the legion :l

Oh look at that, Israel proving it's innocence yet again.
A ceasefire is finally implemented, they do a good old fashioned land grab which will no doubt start Hamas off again and then they get to carry on butchering the Gaza strip. GG.

Again, I'd prefer not to because I'd rather my opinion not be swayed by cool motion and sound effects. From what I've heard about the Youtuber, he has a conservative bias, and that doesn't fly with me. If you want more people to care about the issue, then just tell me what you know and how you know. If you don't care about my opinion then don't bother replying. I won't be offended either way.
I wouldn't say a conservative bias, but he's more right leaning than left. He's no Teabagger though <.< Give the videos a watch, it's not just some flashy transitions and vitriol to stir up shit for the sake of it. It's screencaps of tweets, articles on news sites and the like rather than just obscure 4chon screenshots.

But Halo 4 is basically Reach re-skinned with better graphics. It still had loadouts, and stuff and no bloom.
Not quite, it's similar but it's the annoying things that they changed that made it boring to play. The DMR spam was unbearable, you literally only needed one gun to kill vehicles and players with contemptuous ease ._. Custom maps were dead because forge was utter shit, custom games were also dead because they were nerfed to hell and made so bland that it was just TDM with or without a flag ._. There were a lot of good things and a lot of fun things but the annoying shit just dragged the game down into the dirt for me.

Reach wasn't that good.
From what I've seen from Halo 4, it looked better.
<.< For you maybe, but Reach was literally perfection (for me). I'd have still been playing the shit out of it if 343 didn't do that bloody TU. [axe to grind intensifies] Halp 4 was meh, not bad but just ehhhhh. As much as I begrudge them for ruining my favourite game, they did shove me out of Halo and into Battlefield and for that I am somewhat grateful >.> Now I'm the Colonel incarnate, complete with game defying immunity to things that should just plain kill me .-. Although I chalk the ability to bounce tank rounds off my sternum down to DICE's shitty netcode lol.
