Hmm, well I'm not entirely sold on a lot of the freudian principles <.< But going with that, I would end up going as far as to argue that free will simply doesn't exist and that the illusion of it is all there really is. If your choices are determined by your previous experiences and memories rather than 'a free will' then that does tend to lead down that road <.< I'm not a huge believer in free will anyway, it's an interesting concept but despite my scepticism over freudian theories it's one of the few that does seem to ring true. (Sorry if that's a mess, it's 3am and i've been flamewarring for a while tonight >.>)

I would however point towards the links between arsonists and rapists, whilst a Pyro isn't necessarily an arsonist it's not going to surprise many if the two are frequently one and the same. It's possibly a power thing, in the same vein as the two.

Why do we dream?
Ze first proper quest-chin. And it's unfortunately one that I cannot answer with any conclusive reply :l I can give you my incoherent ramblings though. From my personal experience, they are just a reflection of unresolved thoughts during the day. For example the other night I dreamt that I was playing a full game of age of empires, because I went to sleep thinking about playing a game of it <.< (Lucid dreams are fun) But then when you mix in conscious and subconscious hopes/fears/experiences you get some of the more interesting ones. Again, this is just for me but yeah <.< More common dreams can be linked with the circumstances of those also having similar dreams, like the teeth falling out one. I think that falls under the anxiety nightmare branch, but I'm a little tired so I could be mistaken. So the way I view it, dreams are just a way of the brain sorting out unresolved thoughts whilst you sleep. Like defragging a harddrive (As I understand it) to clear the clutter out for the next time you boot up >.>
