Britain Update
-Annexation of Scotland and Ireland at 50%
-Bezerkergang 75% Complete, research into various psychotropic plants and fungi allows the recruits to fly into a tank like rage, capable of shrugging off otherwise incapacitating wounds. The drawbacks include copious psychological trauma and a 'one use' style system for any fatal wounds for obvious reasons.

-Alliance Proposal sent to the First Reich to form Euroballing Union was accepted, Euroballing Union is now into Axis. The House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha is stronk once more. King Arthur refuses to die, country is still under he-his rule.

-Warwolf trebuchets constructed - 4. An additional 16 being constructed.

-State army at 2000 strength (20%), Welsh mercenary longbowmen have been hired along with Woad Raiders from north of the wall to bulk out the british armed forces.
Mercenary recruitment (1 page to be completed)
Will add 2000 Longbowmen and 1000 Raiders to the army.

Construction of a Navy commencing, 20 ships over the course of 10 pages.

Construction of additional settlements Worcester, London and Winchester underway 5% per turn each.

++++
Emissaries reach China, USA and Canada and offer peaceable terms of trade with each.
+++
Emissaries still en-route to Australia and New Zealand.

A tune to warm our hearts comrades.

Pretty much, I bet it's half the reason why the left and the right demonise each other so much. It makes it easier to remain in their own camp.

'Limp dick librul pussies'
'republicunt dinosaurs'

And so on and so forth <.<

Britbong Emissary inquires of the Deutches Reich, as to their current alliance status and how many kabobs they have removed <.<

[Saxe-Coburg-Gotha intensifies]
The Reich currently stands alone and is too far north to remove Kebab

Britbongistan under Que-King Arthur Sabre proposes an Alliance, for old times sake :D
The frogs won't stand a chance.
High Chancellor Das accepts a military alliance.

King Arthur proposes a name for the alliance - Euroballing Union.
The Reich muses over this name and wonders what Euroballing is.

[It's totally unrelated to Polandball and the Reichtangle]
The Reich formally announces an acceptance of the Euroballing Union.

Is of great day for both our nations.

But no, I don't. I'm not exactly an atheist though, just an apathist.

Aren't all blu-rays region free?

They might be now, but a few of my older ones aren't.

I had to fuck around with my dad's bluray player to get it to play US blurays (I imported a few because they release in the UK a whole year later). As far as I know they all work on the PS4 though.

If I were to hazard a guess, without any real prior knowledge, it's probably to do with pretty much every country's counter-productive, monopoly-inducing, downright retarded intellectual property laws.

*sigh*

I figured it would be.

Serious / Region locking in the globalized world.
« on: September 26, 2014, 02:46:14 PM »
*looks at meta*

I don't just mean specifically locked digital content but the whole 'exclusive to this country' crap in general.

Could someone explain why this shit is still a thing?
Region locked consoles, Exclusive preorder crap, Netflix limitations (This one I understand slightly but it's still a joke anyway) Aside from the relentless copyright bullshit that hits everything on youtube with 'not available in your country'.

I mean most of this stuff is just pointless because of stuff like VPNs and the like but back to my original point.

Can anyone see an actual point and purpose in terms of economic/financial benefit to this crap? Aside from extortion that is <.<

The new Korra game could be fun, that's one to watch at least <.<

No Mans Sky obviously, Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3 and Far Cry 4 are really the only ones I'm looking forwards to slightly. No preorders or Hype, but just looking forwards to them.

I really don't like Dubstep, but there are occasionally ones that I find bearable.

Screaming snorty grunt metal though... fuck that shit ._.

This applies to both genres though, I prefer to listen to songs not abrasive noises. If it's a good song or has some sort of melody to it, then I'll probably like it/tolerate it. If it's just Shrieking transformer surprise buttsexs or some lunatic deepthroating a microphone and someone battering a drumkit as hard as they possibly can... No thanks. I'm sure that it takes great... skill... but I just don't like it at all <.<

British catchupdate >.>

Britain has passed through the Dark Ages and is entering the Medieval era, (1100s onwards) because of no Norman Invasion happening, the British culture has remained closer to it's Celtic/Saxon roots rather than intaking a large Latin/French culture booster shot.

Architectural Styles follow the Germanic/Teutonic styles because of the Economic/Scientific aid provided by our German Cousins >.>

Industry in Cornwall is producing a reasonable surplus of Tin and Silver, suitable for use in Trade along with a nationwide production of large amounts of wool from farming. Forestry sites throughout the country produce high quality timber for building ships and export.

England and Wales are now as one, scouts sent north and west to explore Scotland and Ireland. Detailed reports by page 29.

Port cities on the southern coastline are opened for trade and emmissaries/envoys sent to the following European/Asian nations
Germany
Luxembourg
Switzerland
Russia
China

The message is of greeting and an offer for trade in Wool, Tin, Silver and Oak timber in return for any export offers.

Britain as a nation is ruled by King Arthur, who wishes to assure everyone that despite any implications to the contrary, he is a bloke and not a lady.

Germany would offer the Sultanate of England economic and scientific aid of it remains as a power.

The Sultanate accepts this generous offer and remains in the game <.<

[I need to stop calling it a sultanate though <.<]

Britain will use the German aid to catchup to roughly where everyone else is, but will remain slightly behind the game for fairness >.>

Wouldn't be too hard to join in at this point. Nothing too major has happened in regards to massive inventions. Everyone is working towards, or has steel at this point - and a couple of the island nations have ships.

If you want to join, Class and I will give you a bit of leeway to make gains and be on equal footing with us.

Oh right, coolio <.<

[I might make a bit of a catchup then with Britbongistan but obviously nothing like a certain popular children's treat related name was doing in a certain fallout UN game...]
