The most common one being that the US Government had a hand in orchestrating 9/11, which wouldn't surprise me completely if it turned out to be true but I don't quite think it is a conspiracy.
So rather than this being a shitfest of Obummer is a kenyan arab muslim reptile, try to think of ones that could actually have some truth to them. 15486

Gaming / Re: So... how about that video game journalist corruption« on: September 28, 2014, 01:38:24 PM »
I'm glad that they've cleaned house somewhat <.<
Having rabid hordes of MRAs use it as ammunition to take potshots at women wasn't exactly helping the cause <.< Although it wouldn't surprise me if half of that was false flagging, and visversa. An internet bitchfight gets so convoluted .-. But yes, hopefully this does end up with the journalism being cleaned up. And to respond to the already raised point of 'who the fuck cares?' or 'who even reads it?' whilst they aren't exactly wrong, halfway through the video he raises the issue where an EA server hack resulted in a lot of compromised accounts (40,000 ish) for some aussie website (I think it was aussie at least) but wasn't reported on because of the friendship between publishers/developers and journalists. So it's not just silly agenda pushing but it's really going to end up hurting the retail side of things, the bit that presumably more people care about. 15491
The Flood / Re: What's your ethnic background?« on: September 28, 2014, 01:33:30 PM »
English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh.
My grandparents came from each one with pretty solid ethnic backgrounds for the four countries, so I'm roughly 25% of each, but then nothing is ever perfect and it wouldn't surprise me to find odd strands of Nordic or French in there. With my Granny (maternal), her family tree goes all the way back (And obviously past) to the some of the last witches burned in England, which is quite cheery. (400+ something years) With my Grandpa (paternal) his line goes all the way back to some of the ancient irish kings >_> Spoiler Bow, Mongrels. MONGRELS O N G R E L S 15492

Jesus...
Bad luck just doesn't cover this anymore, I hope you pull through and given how resilient you seem I'm sure you will but it's probably time to prioritise your health over work, if you can, It would be better for all of you if you were still around for the long haul rather than burning out in the next few months. I really wish you the best, it might be worth looking into a lawyer on a no win/no fee thing to try and get some compensation for having your lungs destroyed by asbestos, even if the worst should happen that would leave a safety net for your family. But pull through this alright, I'm sure you will. 15502

Gaming / Re: DICE I swear to Allah/Shrek/The Omnissiah...« on: September 27, 2014, 06:51:25 PM »
It was just overused as hell.
It has low/very manageable recoil even by scrub standards. Good ROF (800rpm which is the higher end of Assault Rifles), very quick reload and it kills in 3-4-5 bullets (headshot depending) So basically it's just a piss easy gun to use effectively and thus everyone uses it. If it was just a few scrubs that used it, that would be one thing but when you give that to a Colonel/Shitbucket... it's a massacre. So it affected the entire game balance so much that it was essentially a monogun game at one point, DICE nerfed it a few times but that didn't really make any difference to it at all. So instead of coming up against a diverse spread of weapons and firefights it was always a quick-kill spray and pray fight with every fucker in the game :/ 15510
The Flood / Re: So do I automatically get Ninja status on here??« on: September 27, 2014, 06:47:49 PM »Really? Which ones?Except that your preconception that ninjas will never join is completely unsubstantiated. Ninjas have joined BE, another offsite forum. So, I compare one group of people who will never join this site, to another group of people who will never join this site to each other. On the basis that they will never join this site. You fail so hard at comparisons. It's not going to be filled with moderators of Bungie.net either. No it's a shitty comparison because this site is not filled with pretty much only U.S. Government officials.Perfectly valid comparison because of this, which I didn't think needed to be said:Stupid comparison... Given that I said "Considering this forum is directly linked with bungie.net..."So what?"Technically" it doesn't matter. We all know who Recon is despite the fact that he doesn't have an account here.Well considering this forum is directly linked to bungie.net, it kinda should. In regards to impersonation, here's the loophole.I think that the Ninjas and Monitors should approve new users' posts with more care so that everyone doesn't get confused. Making an account of someone that doesn't exist on this forum shouldn't warrant a ban. Tom T is in there but I think he gave up being a mod a while back. |
