Not to mention that access to mental health treatment is a fracking joke in the Western World.
Correct again, which leads on to what conclusions?
There is none, merely highlighting the bullshit of society.
Partially correct.

If we actually cared about mental health, if we stopped stigmatizing those who seek help, if we stop conditioning people to believe that sexual abuse is the single worst thing that can happen to you and that the correct response to it is to lie on the couch and watch Lifetime movies until you kill yourself with a handful of sleeping tablets and a bottle of wine, maybe we'd see more improvements in the treatment, cultural perception, and personal struggles of the survivors of abuse.
When that's realized, I would argue that ending an innocent life is far worse than traumatizing one.

Well god damn <.<
This is going to be one of those things that I remember and use later on, thanks for this Das. It's one of those rare perception changing moments for me, so thank you again >.>

British Bulldog - It's ridiculous to ban it but what happened next is better.
So there was a large group of us, about 20-30 that used to play bulldog in middle school every break and lunch. Nobody got hurt, a few fell over and got bumped but that's not exactly hospitalisation.

But because of the cotton wool litigation bullshit that was going on at the time, they banned it to play it safe. So we promptly came up with 'Bite' which was the exact same thing but with a different 'tackle'. They banned that after about a week. Then various incarnations of infectious monsters like werewolves and zombies later... the teachers just banned any variation of it with threats of detention.

GG.

But not GG for long.

We came up with 'stampede' next. Now this is where it gets funny, the same 30 of us would line up on one side of the playground/field and rampage to the opposite side. God help anyone who was in the way and you were out if you were last.

The game ended up really popular with almost all of the school playing at one point. Girls, Boys, Years 3-6. So after a few weeks of stampede there was easily about 100 kids involved. It was gloriously fun, there is something about charging with a horde of your classmates that is unexplainably fun.

But 100 kids rampaging the length of the playground is a recipe for disaster. Two kids fell at the front and got completely trampled, one cracked his ribs and the other cut his face above the eye ._.

And that was the end of that.

After that it was 'No fun allowed™' completely.

So the irony here is that by banning bulldog, they actually ended up with two kids needing to take a trip to A&E. lawl.

I actually like Daz, but god damn.

Anyone want to take bets on whether it's apathy or orders from above that's allowed this farce to go on?

I'm not exactly drowning in sympathy here, but even so this is pretty disgusting.

As Challenger says, I really wouldn't give a shit at all if they just slit his throat but torturing/disembowelling... eh... that's a bit much really.
Just curious, do you think murder or child rape is worse?

Murder of children?
For children, I'm inclined to say rape is worse, the long term damage/trauma and suffering from it would outweigh cutting a life short in my eyes. So killing a child cleanly would be better than assaulting one, generally.

If it's murdering an adult or raping children, then it's an easier distinction. Killing an adult isn't as bad as the latter.

Yeah, I never say or use that word in real life. I would have gone with the F bomb like Meta did, but then people would think I copy and pasted it. So I used this word as a one time exception. I did not use it as an insult nor am I racist.

You racist pig.

The Cowen analyst notes that Call of Duty’s biggest problem right now is that gamers are still busy playing Destiny. If players don’t switch that game off and start looking toward their next shooter, Advanced Warfare could get off to a sluggish start.

Ain't even mad that this thread went down the crapper now.
Not a lot to talk about and plenty of the religious users I know don't visit much to these things, because well look at the people that predominantly make up this board.

Yeaaah I suppose <.<

I was mostly interested to see if there was anyone that wasn't Catholic/Protestant/NonDenom and the like >.>
I think the other denominations are really only things that people get into because of family/region of birth/heritage and such. I can't think of any other real reason, not that much of a difference in beliefs.

It's also a precursor thread to one that I'll be doing soon <.<

Not at all I have fibre optic and my internet is good at all times.

I'm sorry.

It's ok, that's actually good to know <.<

If/when there is Fibre Optic available I shall enjoy the shit out of Battlefield/Netflix and the like in primetime >.>
Go to the ISP sites and do speed checks to see which provider is the best for your area when it's available. Virgin media is pretty good for me but obviously depending on your location it'll differ. Yeah.

We have the best one for the area 5mbps down and fuck all up :l

When we move in a few days it goes to like 7-8down and bugger all up >.>

Someone just got 360 no-scoped!

But no, I don't have any trials for the OP. If you have a phone I can show you a pretty damn simple way to get them, though.

I'm interested to learn more <_<
I'll make a post about it on The Flood, but if you get on your iPhone or Android (it might cover other phones as well, but I only know of these) and go to http://freemyapps.com

Register your device and then you just download stupid apps, open them, close them, and get points for it. Redeem the points for Amazon money and just buy your own XBL for free.

Ah cool <.<

My phone is slow as shit, so I doubt it'll be worth the loading times but thanks >.>
