You can either get a verbal warning which is either a reminder in the thread to cut the crap, a PM or something along those lines. Or you get the official warnings which stack up to equal a ban if you keep on acting up, you get a notification for those generally.

In all honesty I don't know what to say to you to make you understand other than to educate yourself on autism and what it truly is and how it affects the lives of children. The fact that Charlie is a parent of two children and still continues to make light of a serious issue is just sad. Autism is not a joke, it's a disorder and it affects thousands of people everyday of which a majority are children. Throwing it around as an insult is no better than calling a gay person a fag or a black person nagger. It's all over this forum and Bungie.net and it's disgusting...
Oh I do know a fair amount about autism and the affect it has on people, I'm not going to let my personal feelings on the matter change how I would approach this from a mod standpoint. Regarding the insult in particular though, it's just the latest internet fad. Calling someone a dipshit or an idiot has lost it's bite and so now there is a substitute. It is a pretty pathetic one but at the same time if you try to stamp it out it won't make a blind bit of difference. Whilst the word is different, the points this comedian makes are still very valid. I don't see Autist as any worse than calling someone a retard, give the video a watch though.

To a degree, but you have to bear in mind that it's not always possible to accurately read someone especially when all you have are written clues. No visual, expression or auditory signifiers for example. That's part of the reason why Poe's Law is a real thing.
