10 - Vague as phuck.
Don't desire/gawk at shit you don't have, be content with what you've got, don't be greedy. Basically, don't do what King David did when he killed one of his greatest soldiers so he could have his wife, despite the fact the dude had at least a hundred already.
It was more relevant when I had the other image up >_> I get your point though.

Can someone explain to me what's been going on? I've not been active for a few days.
Basically, repeated offenders are going to start getting heaver bans.
I'm just curious as to how this got brought up. Or rather, who brought this up.
Alrighty, I'll give you some more details because it's not supr secrt mod bsns but yeah. I can't detail the specific users but I can say the following. Some members on here, about 4-5 of them, have a tally of warning points exceeding 100. Which is pretty absurd considering most people have between 0 and 20. They are clearly not getting the message that the shit they continue to pull is haram and so because these litebans seem to not have enough emphasis behind them if those specific repeat offenders (and anyone else who runs up a history of being in trouble on the site) are simply going to continue to disrupt, attack and fuck up the forums then they are going to get harsher sanctions.
For most people, there is nothing to worry about. This is basically a disclaimer of 'we told you so' before any of the heavier punishments start rolling out to the worst behaved among us. It's not a matter of persecution either, and these heavy bans aren't just dropped on people for nothing either.
tl;dr Persistent offenders have pushed it to the point where they will now be getting harsher bans, this announcement is a courtesy to let them know that in the words of Samuel L Jackson 'Enough is enough'.
Any other questions I could try and clear up?
dustin right
I can't say.

Personally I think we should use a hashtag system where you can separate discussions based on tags, that way you can choose between serious discussion, shitposts, and more. I'm sure it would work good.
Don't take it personally when I tell you to die in a fire. :^)

The thing that bothers me most about religion [Christianity in particular] is that no success is my own. All of the years of practice, training, and experience don't make me good at what I do; God does. It's not the coaches and teammates; it's God. It's not the teachers, tutors, and professors; it's God.
No, motherfucker. I worked hard for this shit. This is mine. You can't take it away from me.
I think you simply don't realize how it works. >God creates everything >People use what God created to do things for themselves and others >People achieve things with what they created >Thank God for allowing it all to be possible
Nobody is saying you didn't earn anything, nobody is saying that you or your teachers and friends and family didn't do anything to make whatever was achieved possible. All it is, is that God made it possible for it all to happen.
Sorry, but this argument always bugs me.
See, that's the problem. If God created everything, I am forever indebted to him for something he didn't have a hand in. It seems no different than the mob requiring business owners to pay "protection" fees. A portion of the business's earnings go to the mob even though the mob did nothing to earn it.
Except God isn't going to cripple you for not giving thanks to him. It's a courtesy, a humble acknowledgement, not a bill to pay.
So we're going to ignore the punishment of hell?
But Max, god lets you into heaven if you say you're sorry.
Unless you killed yourself over being in a bad situation that you had no help in. Then fuck you.
Wut
If you kill someone and go to confession, say 3 hail marys and two our fathers and repent that way - If my understanding of catholic doctrine is correct you are forgiven those sins and can get into heaven if you have your last rites read.
If you commit suicide, you go to hell (Also according to catholic doctrine) as it's considered a mortal sin. This fails to take into account that it's not free will that leads people to choose suicide (In most cases) but is either a combination of an inescapable situation or mental illness.
So if the catholics are right, what kind of god punishes the weak and the ill but forgives the wicked?
There are many sects of Christianity that shouldn't even be called "Christianity". There aren't even supposed to be denominations. That is cutting up "The Body of Christ". They all have their problems, some more than others.
Mhm, so what would the correct stance be then? One is a penitent murderer and the other is a mentally ill person that commits suicide, who goes to heaven and who goes to hell?
It depends on whether they were saved or not. Now for the mentally ill person, if they didn't have the capacity to accept Christ as Savior, or know right from wrong, Christ's death covers that.
David had a child die, and he comforted himself with the thought, “Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me” (2 Samuel 12:23). David knew that he would see his child in heaven one day. From that statement, we can assume that babies and young children were, by God's grace, covered for salvation by Christ’s death. We can reason from this that mentally handicapped people are covered by this principle as well. The Word of God does not specifically say this, however. Knowing the love, grace, and mercy of God, this would seem consistent with His character
It might be nitpicky, but Mental Illness isn't the same as being mentally handicapped. Whilst it would be an utterly poor show if god sent retards to hell, It's referring more to those who are ill and can be treated but do not receive the right treatment and thus commit suicide.
One thing I would point out is the notably lower rates of suicide amongst those with strong religious beliefs, and that's one of the reasons I don't like people simply bashing religion for fun. But at the same time, there are some serious flaws with various doctrines and I'd like to have them clarified if possible.
So say you have an athiest-agnostic, they don't know and they don't believe. They get struck down with depression but because of poor access to appropriate healthcare they end up committing suicide. Do they go to hell? They aren't handicapped, but they are afflicted with a treatable illness.
Like Nuka said, I can't give a definitive answer for certain. But I would say from what information I've got: since this person had the mental capacity to choose Salvation or not before he became afflicted.......he is responsible for that.
He rejected Salvation when he had the capacity and opportunity to accept it.
But that capacity was taken from them, what is to say they wouldn't have accepted it at a later date had they been given treatment for it? As an extension, if someone was unsure as to if it was the right path - not that they rejected it outright - but was killed in an accident, do they go to hell/purgatory? Even if they have lived a life completely free of sin?

I'm all for it as long as Kiyo/Naja doesn't royally fuсk it over like last time. She made anon posting completely not anonymous and it was bullshit. I'm glad to see Cheat and Isara are the only ones who can see IPs as I know they won't ruin everything.
Kiyo, I don't give a shit if you're bothered by me calling you out. What you did was a crock of shit and I'm formally calling you out.
There was a problem with Moderators viewing the IPs in the last anarchy, but as you said yourself it has now been fixed so that only the Admins will be able to do so. There isn't a whole lot to be gained from dragging up past events, but it's understandable that it caused some irritation. It wasn't solely kiyo if I recall correctly but from what I gathered there was a certain thread that caused quite the stir. But still, that's now been dealt with and it shouldn't be a problem in the future. Carry on <.<

Dude, the Catholics have always been weird, don't blame us for them. Why anyone would expect a bunch of crazed Italians to get anything done right is beyond me.
Did I just hear that correctly? You called Catholics weird? Tsk tsk.
To be fair, Catholics do have some pretty bizarre traditions >>
Considering that I was raised Catholic... I don't know, everything religious outside of Catholicism's fanciness looks odd to me.
It might look odd but is it better to spend a million on making everything shiny and painted nicely in a church or to put that towards charity? I was CofE where it's all quite spartan, so Catholic churches tend to look very ostentatious to me.

I'd say that's more of an American thing, the UK is/was primarily protestant and Evolution has been widely accepted and taught here for a long time now <.<
That's true, excuse my ignorance, I really didn't take into consideration other factors when talking about it.
Yeah don't worry about it >.> The protestants is Clapistan are mostly descended from the lunatics and the puritans that we kicked out >_> Or the germans.

Dude, the Catholics have always been weird, don't blame us for them. Why anyone would expect a bunch of crazed Italians to get anything done right is beyond me.
Considering the Roman Catholics are the oldest branch and most denominations split from them, plus the fact they are more accepting of evolution as a whole and a Catholic priest first came up with the the big bang theory, I'd really argue otherwise. This is excluding their affinity for kids by the way.
Those denominations split because they were tired of the Catholic church's shit. They did plenty of stuff that didn't make sense to the faith, and so people split off. They were the people that said paying money would allow the Priests to get rid of your sins, they also sent a bunch of children on a crusade thinking God would be with them because they were just children. Like srsly.
I don't know how they're exactly more accepting of evolution than anyone else, but okay.
I know about the Protestant Reformation and why it happened. It doesn't change the fact that in many different denominations things have just been cherry picked so it coincides with their own ideology. Plus, you seem to forget that denominations where made just because the King couldn't have a son. No religion is exempt from bad actions, not saying it is exactly a religious fault, similar atrocities would probably still have happened without religion, just under a different name or power.
Anyhow, regarding the acceptance of evolution, it is mainly anecdotal on my belief, but more times then not, Catholics seem to agree with evolution, while protestants don't. Plus, looking at the U.S. which is primarily Protestant, you can see the anti-evolution belief in the country.
I'd say that's more of an American thing, the UK is/was primarily protestant and Evolution has been widely accepted and taught here for a long time now <.<

What if the Mormons are the only ones that are right?
Dude, the Catholics have always been weird, don't blame us for them. Why anyone would expect a bunch of crazed Italians to get anything done right is beyond me.
I don't hold anything against mormons, but I would honestly laugh if they were the only ones who were true to God.

If God loves me then why did he make Ellen Page a Lesbian?
Catholic God Hmm well you have the rampant paedophilia in the clergy, buggering all of the altar boys. God turns a blind eye to this whole thing, no smiting or crusades against the predators.-Ellen Page looks like a boy, and they like girls = Actually a boy in disguise. Soooooo... Become a priest, Then you can get ellen page. Problem solved.

I'm gone for three days and this shows up. What happened?
And please, no cryptic top secret srs mod bsns response.
Yutaka covered it pretty well, it's quite simple. Repeat offenders, and I mean ones who constantly and frequently break the rules are just going to start getting harsher punishments until they get the message to stop fucking around so much.
