Gaming / Re: So I found this deal
« on: November 08, 2014, 11:21:13 AM »

I'd wait to see what Argos are doing over Christmas >_>

Gootsby said something about a special offer, so if I were in the running to be buying one I'd be looking out for that. Or I'd wait for the january sales >_> That way you can buy more games <.<

The offer was something in the £200s rather than £350+s >_>

Argos you say? Did that include any games with it?

*looking on the site*
Gatsby claimed it was an upcoming deal, that it's not on yet

There are a few who do, but I don't think they are online at the moment <.<

Okay. Would you mind if I bumped this thread tomorrow afternoon for replies?

Bump away :D

I'm surprised <.<

I'm on here pretty much all of the time I'm awake, but then it would depend on if it logs time spent viewing or just having the tab open <.<

Great, a desticle mod.

Well in the mute list you go.

Anyone who says something bad about density is getting permabanned.

But just so we are all on the same page, harassment and abuse are all perfectly fine. And if anyone complains about it they are getting muted.

Serious / Re: Mom attacks woman over screaming child
« on: November 07, 2014, 09:34:44 PM »
I really just don't understand. I mean obviously she shouldn't have punched her.

But how exactly should you calm down a screaming child? You can't hit them in today's world. You can't yell back or you'll be recorded on a phone. So what exactly can a parent do?

Actually PARENT their children. Take them outside until you get them under control if they won't listen to you. It is more the store's fault for not kicking the woman out, though.

Not sure why spanking is being brought up. I never had to assault my brothers for them to listen to me. I actually guide them appropriately and give them incentive to listen. If you have to spank a child, you have failed.

Sounds like someone didn't get smacked enough as a child! .-.

But seriously, I agree. I've never had to smack my younger brothers to get them to behave, barring the one immediately junior to me. He needed a hook to the gob to get him in line <_<
Although we were brawling at the time, so it wasn't exactly discipline related >_>

Yeah I have that too <.<

The tablets weren't a problem really, just one a day and then it's onto two a day for the supplements rather than the boosters.

It made the world of difference though <.<

Serious / Re: Is War Over?
« on: November 07, 2014, 03:32:34 PM »
I don't disagree, but there comes a point when there are simply more people than can be sustained in one given country. I'm sure science and business will find a way to counter the problem, but even then there is a biomass limit for the planet <_<
Technology has a funny way of helping us avert this doomsday scenario.

This idea that humans are becoming overpopulated has been around since Thomas Malthus in 1798, who argued for killing the poor. If there is a limit, we're nowhere near it. You could comfortably fit the entire planet's population in Texas.

Well it's their own fault for being poor.

But yes, I suppose it does <.<

If we do not solve our overpopulation problem
There isn't one.

In the west.

Have you seen Africa lately? Exponential growth doesn't really cut it here .-.
Let's say the African population were somehow halved.

Do you think the poorest, most hungry and destitute part of the population would then have a decent enough access to food in order to be raised out of poverty?

The problem is access, not quantity.

I don't disagree, but there comes a point when there are simply more people than can be sustained in one given country. I'm sure science and business will find a way to counter the problem, but even then there is a biomass limit for the planet <_<
