I look at genres like trees. If a tree represents all rock music, for example, then every branch could represent every subgenre. And every twig could represent every sub-subgenre. And every leaf could represent a sub-sub-subgenre. And so on, until you reach individual artists, and their individual songs. Every song that exists is a subsubsubsubsubsubgenre of a much larger, all-encompassing genre of music.
But there is no "pure" rock song. The very idea is fucktarded.

Eh, a certain mod with a moustache avatar was the cause of the split. He demoted me for literally no reason even though I am the most active person on plug.dj and decided he did not want me in the room, so I made a new one with less restrictions and more relaxed moderators who do not take it so seriously.

Just to clear things up, I did demote Noelle from Manager to Bouncer, I did it because her activity had seen a noticeable dip in activity, back when I ran the show, I always held the higher mods, like managers and cohosts to certain standards. High activity was one of them, being able to follow the rules and and enforce them properly was the other. After getting told that she was inactive, I investigated and talked to the other regulars, and they all confirmed what I had been told, that she was almost never on anymore, hence the demotion.
