I mean I've never played Zelda or especially wanted to but I think the game looked great. If a studio does good work it will get noticed by people who aren't already a fan of the series especially if the game essentially gets its own E3 conference

I said I liked the setting but that the gameplay mechanics were essentially the same of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Anyone can like the look and setting of a game but not be amazed by the gameplay itself.
unpopular opinion: I liked the new tomb raider games and think they're better than uncharted
Had that game been cut in half, time wise, it would have been more enjoyable.

I used to work at a sub shop and it was ridiculous, so high paced and exhausting
service industry in general is fine, I work at a bookstore now and it's just dealing with customers and holding down the register

Well the art book cites Alien franchise as an inspiration for art style, so I guess you'd follow that to it's logical conclusion and arrive at Avatar. Tht said, the dragons were in the first game and the wolves were in concept art for the first game.
If you're looking for james cameron style stuff, I'd take a closer look at stuff like the Hemlok BF-R.

Yea, because you didn't play the game. >Equipment accessed by pinwheel >Menu format the same >Loot/crafting system is the same >Slow mo during important takedowns The only thing thats different is that in the Tomb Raider game you could for the most part run and gun/bow, this gives a bit more flexibility, but thats hardly a big over haul. Considering the similarities Horizon's gameplay won't have much depth to it, enemies are gonna be classical FF style in variety, meaning a set of AI with bigger ones be reskins of the the first set just stronger and a slightly different look. Story will likely be far too linear for a open world game, way to waste months of world building. And the upgrading skill tree, if it has some variety of one, will require farming mobs. Yea, theres nothing to suggest anything I said past the first sentence and a half will be spot on, but from what its looking, thats what it'll be and its disheartening that the setting would be ruined with crappy gameplay. I'm sure you'll argue how having some of the same aspects doesn't make it a reskin, but when I see the same functions being implemented in the same way, its nothing but a reskin. Also, you still haven't contested me on actually knowing how the Tomb Raider game plays.

The X-Ray existed in Titanfall 1 as a Pilot ability and not as a grenade. The rest are new
Neato, I'd like to see more equipment like that in the game, adds some good ole variety the first didn't have.

Tbh if it weren't for the setting of the game, I wouldn't care for Horizon, I love new worlds, even if they aren't overly new. Its a shame all I see is that Lara Croft game but with robots. I'll still play it regardless.

I'm not even being contrarian. This isn't exactly an uncommon opinion.
It's uncommon here, at least so far. You have Yutaka, whose head is so empty, you were probably the one who influenced his opinion, so he barely counts.
The baseless comparison to Ubisoft is what gave it away. The only thing I didn't necessarily care for in the trailer was the Mass Effect-style Fallout 4 dialogue choice thing. The gameplay itself looked fantastic, with all the cool weapons and tools they showcased. The combat looked fluid, interesting, and even fast-paced, despite your primary weapons being bows. You can tell it's a game where you have to think on your feet to perform well, and that's exactly the kind of thing you want to see in a game.
It looked nothing like Ubisoft, and as usual, you don't know what you're talking about.
Its almost like people can't have similar opinions.
