No.
The idea that people can apply for thread-specific permissions.
Highly unlikely, a nice idea on paper but in application its far too susceptible to abuse, a person can edit out what they don't like or just flat out lock threads when things don't go their way. Even if the staff gives it to more "responsible" members, there have always been cases of members who have generally been more calm to lose their cool. Its just not going to be a thing, sorry.

Another reminder that board specific mods/monitors will never be a thing, such a limiting position isn't needed, especially not one caused by such an incident, maybe if we had the size but not how things are right now.
Evidently it is needed though. Also, "not having enough people" seems like a pretty stupid reason.
If the person is up to the task, what's the downside.

Reports are well enough for that, and like its been stated the staff has been discussing a new spoiler rule, so in the instance it goes through all and all this won't happen as bad as it did.

I should add that I don't hear any music or shouting, just constant talking (by a rather large group of people) and the occasional burst of laughter.
