What is something new that you've learned in the past week?

I honestly can't remember, I'm sure there are a few things, but my memory just shits on me sporadically.

You do realize you have an option for this right? With a high enough rank and trust you can edit it.

Did you forget who I am?

I'm never going to be a high enough rank let alone high trust lol. Also.

Code: [Select]
background:; border: 0px solid #455155; width: 95%; margin: -10px 0 0 0;
Found out that the background needs to have no color value at all. At least it works like this on inspect element.

Oh, and name one member that has the option to do this already. We can't even do this in Anarchy.
I have it, so does anyone with a higher post count than me, and probably those right below me.

Show me a screenshot of what this option looks like if real.

Not that.

You have it all wrong. I want the border and the background to be completely gone. Just like how B.old was.
>get the color hex of the forum background
>put it in the option

Week bans for spoilers? Not even people who post porn get that much, thats overly severe for the what it is.
let's be real here

the consequence of posting porn is minimal--you might offend somebody with a very weak constitution.
boo hoo, you saw some tits--oh well

the consequence of posting spoilers is universal--everyone who reads the spoiler is negatively affected
everyone
You're implying that everyone cares about spoilers, you even said yourself you don't mind them, some individuals may not even have interest in said spoiler, minus all of rules that result in immediate permas, nothing you could do on this site would result in a immediate week to month ban, the exception being releasing private personal secrets and those do harm.

Week bans for spoilers?

No.

The idea that people can apply for thread-specific permissions.
Highly unlikely, a nice idea on paper but in application its far too susceptible to abuse, a person can edit out what they don't like or just flat out lock threads when things don't go their way. Even if the staff gives it to more "responsible" members, there have always been cases of members who have generally been more calm to lose their cool. Its just not going to be a thing, sorry.

Reminder that deletion and locking permissions will likely never become a thing due to the potential of abuse, even when trimmed down to members who are less likely to abuse them.

What about my alternative?

Another reminder that board specific mods/monitors will never be a thing, such a limiting position isn't needed, especially not one caused by such an incident, maybe if we had the size but not how things are right now.

Evidently it is needed though. Also, "not having enough people" seems like a pretty stupid reason.

If the person is up to the task, what's the downside.
Week bans for spoilers? Not even people who post porn get that much, thats overly severe for the what it is.

Reports are well enough for that, and like its been stated the staff has been discussing a new spoiler rule, so in the instance it goes through all and all this won't happen as bad as it did.

My dad's too busy preaching about Jehovah to watch movies, even more so since just about every movie out there with anything "bad" he doesn't even watch.

I should add that I don't hear any music or shouting, just constant talking (by a rather large group of people) and the occasional burst of laughter.
At first I thought it was loud raving according to the OP, but if thats all it is then thats hardly even bad, if you consider that bad, you must live in a quite neighborhood.

>willingly living anywhere where people aren't quiet

I would rather kill myself
Not everyone lives in the middle of the US where its flat lands for miles. Most people don't even care if there is background noise.
