it's not that they want me to speed thru because it's long, they assume id be super into the show by now and able to watch it continuously

i mean shippuden has been sorta enjoyable ngl, but i think it's just the fact thats it's 500 episodes that makes it extremely daunting? im not sure how to describe it

and yeah, ive wanted to drop it lol, especially in the original naruto

im making sure to take frequent breaks/watch other stuff

damn what happened here

personally i dont think id ever get into the fate series because of its super high barrier to entry

i know theres like a billion canon spin offs and seasons and shit

but ive heard overall it’s good i suppose

You can pretty much watch any Fate series on its own and be relatively fine TBH.
The "Main Timeline" is Zero and then anything with "Fate/Stay Night" in the name. The rest are spin offs, most of which are shit anyway as far as the anime adaptations go.

Really Just watch Zero,
And then if you want to be a waifufag and or ruin your life move on to whatever version of Stay Night suits you, the Light Novel is best but you probably don't want to read the equivalent amount of text of the Lord of The Rings saga and the Bible back to back twice with hilariously bad sex scenes in the middle.

maybe someday then

Alphy do this with me

We can watch Lord of the Rings after to rinse our eyes

sorry im too busy slacking off on naruto lol

seriously it is so hard to watch naruto and not get bored, im 90 episodes into shippuden.. out of 500

actually it isnt really because of boredom, it's just that it's so tiring

my friends complain that i should be speeding thru it but i just cannot

i think i got fubuki from mashing her first & last name together somehow

Ok I'm almost done with Yuki Yuna is a Hero

It was annoying at first but it grew on me

It got hella depressing in the second half though wtf

Also alphy why the fuck are there jiggle physics in an anime about middle school girls

glad to hear that it grew on you, id imagine itd be a major turn off for some, given the whole slice of lifey/magical girl vibe

oh yeah there are a few instances of that huh... my bad lol

dont open until you finish the anime
so if youre really interested in the series, theres actually a prequel and sequel to it, called the washio and hero chapters respectively

i didnt want to recommend you watch the chronological order because i think it's best to just jump into series with the first season

they might be a bit hard to find though, they used to be on amazon video but the entire series got sent to the shadow realm

Slice of live is actually my favorite genre

But anyways finished it

Spoiler
So happy it got a happy ending. It took a really dark turn there for a second like holy shit. Ituski losing her voice, everyone blaming themselves, and that poor girl stuck in the hospital bed. It was cool but also really morbid how the hero system is the modern version of ancient girl sacrifice. But like fuck the Tashi dude. I feel like if they were real heroes (which they all are except Tougou), they would be willing to sacrifice themselves and the Tashi wouldn't have to lie to them. But thinking of Tougou, maybe they had a point. Bruh I liked Tougou before but she goes off the fucking deep end after finding out the truth. Yeah save your friends from the divine tree but destroy the world they live in and kill everyone they ever known. Genius. Not to mention she breaks the wall to save her friends from pain but ends up hurting all of them way worse than if she just chilled the fuck out. I mean it's literally her fault Yuna ended up braindead for while. But I'm glad Yuna was able to come back. Seeing her that way was really disturbing. Ending doesn't really resolve much. Like Yuna just comes back one day for no reason and why are they suddenly able to heal? Doesn't really matter tho. I like seeing everyone happy especially seeing the crippled girl standing again.

I guess I gotta review the transformations and shit since it is a magical girl anime. Transformations are alright except for the random ass and panty shots. But it's not as bad as other transformations in anime. In fact, it was refreshing to see an anime with no or at least very minimal fanservice. I'll be honest though magical girl transformations are cringe as hell but they're a shot of dopamine straight to the brain. Tougou's transformation is sus as hell with all the bondage ropes and her instantly gaining DD boobs. But I like her outfit with all the tentacles propping her body up like Doc Oct from Spiderman. Yuna is best girl obvi. Karin comes in second because I like Tsunderes. They say each other's names too much and the Jap yelling gets to ear piercing levels sometimes. But overall pretty good. Heard there's a third season coming out in October. I shall wait with interest

Spoiler
i am so happy you enjoyed it, it's not talked about a lot

fuu going bananas because of itsuki's voice is one of if not the best moment in the anime for me. such a chilling moment. that being said fubuki is my personal favorite girl

yeah the ending is often criticized, but i dont really mind it

i really dont remember that many ass/panty shots, and ive watched the series 3 times. i know they did quite a few times with togo though.

yes! there will be a 3rd season soon. i would highly recommend the prequel and you definitely gotta watch the sequel if youre looking towards the 3rd season

edit: actually i shouldn't say i recommend the prequel cuz it sounds like you could skip it. dont skip it lol

thanks so much for giving it a shot (:

« on: June 13, 2021, 10:46:19 PM »
So here's what I think is going on in the Campaign:

Like the new Halsey AI explains, she was built to infiltrate the Domain, and commit AI Identity fraud to help drag Cortana out with her. This is probably where the hidden audio clip from the first trailer and possibly that coresponding Cartographer scene are from.

The Operation works, but on the way back to Infinity with Cortana probably to have Halsey do something or for some trial, the Banished attack the UNSC's fleet allong with this "Harbinger" who I'm guessing is Composed Didact. Didact has taken interest in Cortana after she helped defeat him and then took control of basically the entire remnant of the Forerunner Empire.

In the attack He steals her, leading to the new Halsey AI to assume she was deleted.

The UNSC get absolutely bodied in this attack leading to the start of the game that we have seen.

We fight the Banished trying to fuck with the Halo Ring as a targeted doomsday weapon.

Chief beats Echarum and stops the Banished in the Short Term, Atrriox and the faction as a whole will still be at large.

By the end of the game we learn Cortana is alive, Harbinger is the Didact, we may or may nor fight promethians in the base game.

Flood may or may not be in the base game. (Leaning not)

Further story developments left for DLC, where we will eventually see Flood, Promethean and Banished trading off focus as threats.

i just want to shoot monkeys in the face

ive seen a lot of people creaming over elden ring

am i the only one who had no idea what that was
probably tbh

it's only a big deal because it's a collab between the guy who made dark souls and the guy who will never finish the book series that game of thrones is based off of

besides that, i can't say the game really grabs me in any way—i'm sure it'll be great, but it just looks like dark souls again

i learned about it like an hour ago, from a vtuber's stream chat of all things

dark souls doesnt catch my attention so i guess it's just a miss in my books

Abunai Sisters
Berserk 2016
G-Savior
Shojo Ramune
Darling in the FranXX
Scientific Railgun, Prisma Iliya, Jojo Bizarre Adventure :^)

i have an interesting history with the index/railgun series

i watched the 2nd season of railgun first (also fun fact it was the 2nd anime i ever watched), then i watched the first season of index then of railgun

i didnt do this on purpose, i didnt even realize S was the 2nd season AND that it's considered the spinoff lol

Fanservice is the worst thing to ever be invented
Why would you do that to your own characters?
yeah, it's a pretty fucking shit trope, and a big reason why i couldn't get into anime for the longest time

but in the show that i suggested, while the fanservice is incredibly over the top, it's possible to watch the show as a satire (or even a critique of) the male psyche, which tends to enhance the humor a great deal—at least for me, because the show is basically making fun of how the average hormonal numskull guy sees women, and that's funny to me, in a "let's all laugh at this idiot" kind of way, or a "why do guys have to be like this" kind of way

i can totally understand being unable to tolerate it, but it's also going to make the vast majority of anime almost unwatchable if you can't let a little bit of it slide

what are your favorite anime/what are you generally into

I just find it weirdly exploitative even though its a drawing

But anyways
I don't watch much (or any) anime actually so I can't really say
Of what I have watched, I would say slice of life comedies are my favorite
It makes me feel like I'm laying back and chilling with the lads

asobi asobase
gj-bu
hitoribocchi no marumaru seikatsu
kaguya-sama love is war
kakushigoto
working!
assassination classroom
kono bijutsu-bu ni wa mondai ga aru!
ore no nounai sentakushi ga, gakuen love comedy wo zenryoku de jama shiteiru**

most of these are pretty tame

quick comments about each anime
asobi asobase can get wacky sometimes but a very funny show

gi-bu is very comfy and fun

hittoribocchi isnt too comedic but it's got a group of girls that's pretty easy to assimilate to

kaguya-sama can be funny but it can be a bit fan servicey as well, but nothing too crazy

working is a fun show centered around a restaurant and its workers, and i remember it being pretty fun

kakushigoto isnt 100% comedy but if you like the idea of parent/kid SoL, then you might like it

assass class is a bit of an oddball on this list but it's probably favorite shonen b/c it feels SoL, but also being engaging

oh man how could i forget kono bi, it's a cute lil show and very under appreciated

the one with the ** is a quite fanservicey but it's probably one of my favorite comedies
Which one has the best girls

the last one with a billion words in its title

but since it has fanservice and you might not like it, then gj-bu

I'm not above seeing anime tiddies
It's just when it's out of place that I don't like it
I actually love anime girls they're so cute

my man
